I'm 32. I've been dealing with chronic inflammation and acid reflux for 3 years. My quality of life is so poor. It's hard to enjoy, even the simplest things, when you're in constant pain and discomfort. Thanks for the info!
Such good information. As someone who always ate a high amount of carbohydrates, I got Mast Cell Disease. It's so important to do whatever we can to counteract the poor choices of our food. Bravo Mary Claire!
Foods is the most important thing that will bring down inflammation. For 10 years I have had fibromyalia n took every drug on the market.. Last year I started with sorting out what foods work n what does not. Improve my health so much
I respect and admire those who are passionate about science. Nutrition is a fascinating subject which should be considered as a medical treatment instead of pills.... so many diseases could be prevented when you know the nutrients that make you healthy. Thank you so much for this valuable information. You rock!!!!!

Go Green Wave. Thanks for recognizing inflammation itself as the primary source of illness. Gluten is my biggest enemy. I've not been diagosed with celiac disease. I know its gluten because pain and coughing are almost immediate. Lab tests don't reveal my allergies. Wheezing and asthma reveal them. Diet makes the difference. Thank you for truth telling. Keep doing what your doing.
Hello Ms. Mary Claire Haver, I was diagnosed with diverticulitis!!! Just have a lot of bloating and little pain. My question is there's a way I can heal my system!!! Great video and subscribe you!!! Thank you and God bless
What i find so frustrating is that i have been eating healthy for years and i still have inflammation. 😔 i watch so many of my friends eat horribly and have much less issues 😔😔😔😔
The content is awesome. I have chronic plantar fasciitis; I knew I had to do something. Anti-inflammatory drugs & stretches weren’t enough. Who knew that I was poisoning myself with my diet working against my stretches. Who knew that my inflammatory drugs negatively impacted my gut. Who knew that the goal was to have no polyps my dr just said I’m good and increase fiber. Never said how much or why. Thank you for such an informative video. Looking for a food app with fats, carbs, sugar and protein tracking. Recommendations?
You gave me so much new information! Can you please write me the name of the site you mentioned that has a lot of information of chronic inflammation.Thank you so much!
There is a high incidence of colon cancer in my maternal family. Turns out that many carry the FAP gene (familial adenomatous polyposis for those who don't know). I had genetic testing done and, thankfully, don't carry the gene. Unfortunately, my mother does (had a partial colectomy), and my youngest brother does. He had cancerous polyps at age 21. He goes for colonoscopies every year.
I got 12 " inches of stents in my abdominal veins from a vein doctor who said I had a blockage.I never had any varicose. The stents are non FDA. He got kickbacks.
Hi - about 10 years ago I became really unwell. I already had Ulcerative colitis but I developed Psoriasis and Eczema, awful throat ulcers. I stopped eating red meat, and The UC virtually disappeared. I stopped consuming dairy and the Psoriasis went. I then became vegan and have been free of these for 8 years, however I am struggling with a migratory Arthritis, it is moving between parts of my right foot, ankle, and knee. I have Osteo Arthritis in the knee but this doesn't explain all the migratory pain, as well as throat ulcers and my weight is about 30 pounds over what I should be. I gave up alcohol 7 months ago - but have been a bit of a diet coke user and wonder if that explains all the pain. I am taking an omega 3 supplement every day, and most of our food is home made and I sue Tumeric several times a week with Black pepper and ginger :) with very little flour, or sugar. I was eating wholegrain bread every day and am maybe going to reduce this. Thanks for the interesting video. Also apologies as I have now realised its for ladies !
Im glad I found you. I have a question that my dr can't answer. Who can tell me or explain my hormone levels? the gynechologist or an endocrinologist. I had my uterus removed because they found a fibroid. But I still have both of my ovaries. I need help. I was having sleep problems. I bought magnesium in liquid so that kind of takes care of that. Is my eating at night I get very hungry.
Hi Mary, I have chronic ulcerative cholitis and Parkinson’s. I’m trying to revamp my eating habits by eating more south beach diet and always hungry. I’m trying to eliminate alcohol. I love life, I work out 3 days a week, I know I need every day but believe me I do yard work, clean my home, constantly moving. I need to loose 40 lbs. which book do you think would be best for me. I’m a retired respiratory therapist so I understand what you are talking about, thank you for all you sites. Thinking I’m missing something diet wise. I’m trying to battle this evil one, Parkinson’s and keeping a positive mind is a challenge.what do you suggest?
Considering buying the diet. What kinds of impacts has the diet been demonstrated to have on Ulcerative Colitis; if there is any demonstration of that? If there is no data on that disease in combination with the diet, what is your take on it? Not trying to get a guarantee here I know how it works, every case is unique and you can't give me a definitive answer without being my assigned doctor and having access to my file, just trying to realistically set me expectations. Thanks
*Most* bacteria can be fought off by the body, not all! Lyme disease being one of them. I have had chronic inflammation for over 4 years and it can be debilitating some days. Nutrition helps, but not the cure all sadly. I wish modern medicine would understand the long term effects of Lyme disease better & inflammation in general. Just like you said med students as well as nursing students don’t learn much about nutrition, they learn absolutely nothing about Lyme disease. The wrong information about Lyme disease continues to circulate and so many people are harmed by this. Anyway, great talk so far... I’m only a quarter way in.

I’m turning 24, I have pcos and I am suffering sooo much from chronic inflammation, pain and a slew of other symptoms. What are your recommendations that might differ for me from this diet that you recommend for women of menopausal age?
I havent weighed myself in over a year. It was so depressing. Following anti inflammatory eating for a long time. I should be super thin and healthy but I'm not. My body hurts so bad. I've run the gamut of healthy diets including yours. My scale is now in the garage. I dont drink or smoke. No drugs. I eat a rainbow. 1 tsp sugar in my coffee daily. I guess that's what's doing it. Oh well ...
@@maryclairehavermd8473 that's true. The older I get the more I realize. I'm in pain a lot and I dont sleep much. That was a year ago. I'm glad I'm free of pills but now paying the price of long of long- term post withdrawal. I was told I'd have it the rest of my life. Oh well...

Can food allergies, although minor, cause inflammation? Does it get worse with age?
Any allergy can contribute to inflammation, so the short answer is yes. Some may get worse with age.
I’m a certified health coach but have not started seeing clients yet. I need to design a business program to get started. Maybe this would be it?
