The Gurkha is an SUV manufactured by Force Motors, the manufacturer of Traveller minibuses and the Trax utility vehicle in India. The company is inflowing to the SUV section for the second time with its Force Gurkha. The Gurkha was named after the Gurkha soldiers. The original and second generation Gurkha are produced as two-door trucks with options of a removable hard or soft top.

Flop due to main 3 reason-
1) excessive price ( on road should be with in 12 lakh)
2) side facing rear seat. 5 door front facing seat model is more acceptable.
3) missing of compulsory safety features.
Just 3 changes turn it from flop to successful MUV.
How is thiis even an MUV? It is not a van,it is an offroad vehicle! Not for chutias like you! I Have this ,and it is better than thar!
@@Countrysideboy247 Brother why doesn't this car get new age diesel engines and possibly a petrol engine too? Would that work for this? I am not disagreeing with anyone but don't you think that this OM 616 and 611 are too old in the tooth?(performance wise they are good though).
That would be a great idea ! But reliability would be a key factor! The OM 616 is right now the most reliable engine !

@@nandjoshi1 Maybe you are more stupid. Tell me any body on frame 4x4 vehicle in India that comes with solid front axle, diff locks front and rear, a snorkeler. Also the engine makes 140hp and 300nm of torque which is really decent. You are the same type of ken who drives a useless FWD Nexon or Kia seltos thinking it to be better.

For force Gurkha-
1) Beside 3 door, a 5 door, BS6 model is more practical for day to day use, as well as off roading.
2) Rear - TORSEN deffirential
Front - manual mechanical lock diffential, obviously makes the car more capable.
Note- many LSD/ Brake lock differential are available in Indian market, but no TORSEN diff lock is available till date.
Pros.- a) low maintenance,
b) can be used by an inexperienced driver also.
They are used in Humvees, those TORSEN diffs, but handling is one key issue. Manual diff locks are the best.

Price is very much higher than bolero...love this motor but pricewise bolero is good milage also. Force has to reduce their margin and improve repair and service centers.

16 lakhs...are u serious. I was reading comments & agree that it has Merc engine, is an extreme off roader with diff locks, etc etc. But are u kidding me that in 16 lakhs, Force could not put in some nice projection headlamps, remote fuel lid opener, alloy wheels, basic steering mounted controls...i mean, these simple features could have justified 16L price. Sirf engine aur diff lock capabilities k liye kitne log kharch karnge. And where this Gurkha can go, there Isuzu DMax or Thar can also go. Force should think & reduce the cost or add some more features.

Oil leak in so many places for a 5000 km run car ..mercedes derived engine but made by Force maybe because of that😂..but this 2.2 engine with 140 hp was a beast comparing to the 2.6 BS6 version with only 90 Hp now 😅

Really? Find me any vehicle under 16 lakhs which is as capable as the Gurkha xtreme. The gurkha xtreme comes with solid front axle, diff locks on either axle and factory snorkeler. The Mahindra Thar cannot do half of the things which this beast can do.
