Prefer the 3.0 Beside from accesories 3.0 looks better, the origins have better torso articulation but they sacrifice the core fighter which is a big minus, the torso part was too big and the head was too small,it doesn't feels like retro at all,its like a more detailed 2.0 for me, the 3.0 looks like the RG, but that doesn't mean it's the same kit , if the 3.0 only have the javelin and the hammer it would be the perfect RX78-2 MG
Also, the Gundam Origin doesn't have the beam javelin and the gunhammer in its arsenal. It also doesn't have the re-entry film that the Classic Gundam has when going back to Earth, though its armor is strong enough to survive re-entry
i own the origin, and i love it! Highly Recommend it! highly poseable and you get more/better weapons, and the shoulder Canon=Beast! It looks Even better with Panel lined and Decals.

im going for the 3.0, yeah the arti on the origin looks better but it really looks awkward base on the poses in this video. more natural on the 3.0 in my opinion and I don't like the small head. lol
They should make more "larger RG" or this kind of 3.0 where essentially its an RG but larger. Over engineered but good (except that gorilla hand). Some MG are soo basic its basically RE. But dont make it into katoki bullshit either, dont get me wrong, love his designs (esp. 0083), but as many knows its like either a brick, hand granade, or just basic (recently too many leftovers too), and proportion wise, RG is sometimes even better than ver. KA.
What makes a MG a MG is the inner frame and armor gimmicks which these two kits have. They wouldn't be in RE, any MG that's come out recently wouldn't make sense as an RE/100 unless its an RE/100
THE ORIGIN, all day, the face and head proportions are perfect and unique to the original iconic anime design, the flared sleek feet are amazing and stylish, the prototype banana clip shoulder gun is fucking AWESOME, tapered knee armor... flared ankles..the tiny chest cannon detail...splitting knee armor the fx parts, everything about this kit is 100% rad.
In a bizzare twist I actually prefer the origin proportion wise and honestly the origin really needs to be panrl lined the details are hard to see cause of the white plastic

I prefer the origin because it's just more stable and the design grew on me but the 3.0 is still an accurate representation from the original anime. But rather than getting the 3.0 I'd just recommend the RG.

I think I like the morr natural possibility in the Origin and the desing is way cooler and more slick as well as more solid than the 3.0 but that is just my opinion.
I’m stuck between getting the 2.0 and getting the origin On one hand the 2.0 is cool because it has that awesome inner frame, anime accuracy, and a core fighter But on the other, it has a less interesting design because of that anime accuracy and less gimmicks than the origin (I love gimmicks) The origin is awesome and has the superior design in my eyes, I like the knees even though many don’t, I like the proportions, I like the splitting armor gimmicks and the thrusters that come out of the calf’s and all the weapons on it, my only issues with it is that it doesn’t have the cool inner frame and core fighter that the 2.0 does, and some have said that the ankle armor is not connected very well Over all I think I like the origin more but the lack of a core fighter makes me want the 2.0, I know it’s kinda nitpicky but it seriously is a problem for me I understand that the core fighter was added later in the manga but it still isn’t included with the kit

However they are both technically anime accurate. 2.0 is accurate to MSG, and obviously the original version is anime accurate to well, MSG: Origin. Whatever you're choice, I hope you picked the best one that appeals to you. However just remember, they are both anime accurate

That's the difference between design for anime vs design for manga Origin ver is Yoshikazu Yasuhiko/character designer's re-interpretation of anime design. (=so long as he can draw it, not every single animator involved)
Origin is the latest kit and has the latest technology inside of it. It's about 10 dollars more expensive than the 3.0 though. So make your decision based on that.
The Origin version is closer to the novel Gundam, hence the model number is RX-78-02 instead of RX-78-2. The novel version didn't have a core block escape system. That RX-78-02, incidentally, was entirely white which is where the nickname "White Devil" originated.
The 3.0's cockpit hatch is closer to the Anime, since besides having the torso part that lifts up it also has the bottom light blue panel slide up to reveal the cockpit, exactly like it did in the Anime.
in case you are still wondering a year or more later the one with a single shade each of red, light grey and blue is "the origin" the one with multiple shades of each is the 3.0 I own the 3 but do plan on getting the origin, I think it looks diferant enough that I can justify it, I watched this video mostly to see if I could justify to myself purchasing it.

Really like the beam effects on the Origin and that Beam Rifle but the proportions on the 3.0 are much better imo

Zero Hunter The rx78-02 early type didn’t have a core fighter until it got the Middle type upgrade.

One thing I don't like about the MG Gundam Origin Ver. is the variable hips. To me, that's a potential break risk

That's because this MG is only limited to the Early Type. The only way to get all types of this MS is to get the GFFMC figure
