I love the sound of nature and tranquility in this small village. Will you ever visit Middleton Cheney, another small village. I lived there back in the 80’s when I was a Military wife?
As one who hails from Kingston Bagpuize - yes, once Berkshire but now Oxfordshire - I doubt that you will be visiting that village soon. Sitting astride the A420 - bypassed or not - it has become but a disaster of housebuilding these days, which is quite sad - it used to lovely. No matter, we still have the Rose Revived, and the Swan at Letchlade to while away a few quiet hours.
Kingston Lisle is very charming and pleasant. The countryside is beautiful!!. How I love it!!. This village is very old because it is quoted in the Domesday Book. Thank you for showing us these hidden treasures. 😀😀😀😀😀
It's very peaceful but there's no village shop. It's a 16 mile round trip if you run out of bread or milk. I know someone who sold up in Kingston Lisle because they were fed-up of the constant journeys to and from Faringdon and Wantage.
