Great video… cleared a few things up that wasn’t intuitive in the update synopsis. Can’t wait for the macros to be built into the sexy knob …. also, really hope ‘Ferry mode’ makes it to the updates board … I use them a lot and the Stena Line Guys say that the Tesla cars are the most annoying cars they have onboard currently for alarms going off when the ship tilts and people being unable to disable it …. while wishing to keep sentry on.
Macro is a killing feature ! So easy to create and use! Will also love the "Keep wiper off" as I don't like wiper management. I prefer managing it manually.
It's nice to be able to do more than one thing with one button press. But I sure would like to see actual macros...like, including programmatic logic, wait times, loops, etc.
Yeah, wipers completely auto off is a must be. Hoping that in the future, you can mute the terrible reverse sound also. My neighbors hated it wife hates it and also kids don’t like it

I was happy with no multi-function buttons in the first place, been using MacroDroid for full macro functionality since the day my buttons came in. As it happens the best thing for me out of this update is putting the buttons on the landscape dashboard. It'll simplify my macros a lot and now they won't periodically disappear my speedometer. Pretty big upgrade. Also +1 to the reverse sound mute...that's by far my biggest feature wish.
Really looking forward to see the Highland version of the knob. My LR delivery is getting closer and both stalks and knob are on the top of my list! Also the dashboard in the app is looking really really clean. I'd really love a small standalone screen to not block the AC though as a regular smartphone these days is just too tall.
Fantastic! Regarding moving the seat....is it possible to have memory settings for the passenger seat. This would be super useful when changing drivers frequently, on a road trip perhaps, or when a less-abled family member is using the seat. It is a pain to continuously have to change the passenger seat manually each time a different passenger is using the seat.
Thanks for the great update guys! Love the new dashboard! However, it seems to lack some useful infos compared to the older UI which is are not shown on the main screen when activated through S3XY Buttons. Things like heat seats status, rear ventilation status, regen state, etc. None of the 4 new dashboards have them. Hope it's gonna come in a future update. For now I'll have to stick a little longer with the older dashboard. Otherwise, so many great things added in this update. I guess I'll have to reconsider how I use my buttons now with these new functionalities! :) Keep up the great work guys!
On the Knob, anyway to add air vent direction control; meaning... use the knob to control the direction of the air, up down etc. I hate going to the climate screen to control the air vents! I am always taking my eyes off the road to look at the screen to see how I moved the air direction. Its somewhat of a difficult maneuver when I'm driving. It would be nice just to adjust with the knob.
I didn’t realize that disabling a motor would also disable regen for it. Makes sense if you think about it, but it’s too bad you can’t free roll it when power is being requested, but use it for regen when the accelerator is lifted. Can’t have it all, I guess!
Please create a written documentation! Videos are nice sometimes, but not everyone wants to spend 20 minutes to get an overview or find specific points.
Would you share a site with update notes that you like? We would like to see if we can add it to our updates , if they are not too complex (after all, we are just a few people team 😊)

Screenshots and eplanations of all tiles, functions etc. Updates could be marked as "new" with a blue bar and if you create a version history page with a list of midifications and links to the individual detail documentaions, everybody could have a quick look or get an in depth docu if required or wanted. If this documentation (as a web page) finally would look like the onboard manual, one could display it even through the car's webbrowser. And perhaps you finally find a way to call this web page through the commander and we would get a fully integrated docu / help system on car screen. Sounds worth the effort ...
Hi, first of all. Love the commander! Especially the continuous autopilot, makes life much easier. Is it possible to add the option ‘disable chime autopilot’? When switching lanes it keeps enabling autopilot and therefor making the sound, every lane change… hope hearing from you!
Loving the knob so far. I do have a suggestion however and that is to have the buttons carry out an action without the screen changing on the dial. For example when pressing a button to open the glove box, I don't understand why the knob needs to show that it's opening the glove box as it's simply a click button action. Would it possible to have for these kinds of actions just the option to press the button and for the action to perform? Then maybe if you wanted to confirm a button action you could press the dial down as confirmation?
The one thing that you show, example Open glovebox and turn the lights on in one click. I figured that many actions only work if the car is unlocked. Can you fix that issue?
My sexy knob arrived today and im absolutely in heaven! I played around with a lot of the features so far, but the best thing is the drift mode! I drive a LR 2021 M3 and the only thing I always regretted about it was that I haven’t bought a performance just for the drifting opportunity. Now I got the knob and all my wining vanished! Thanks a lot! ❤ If you could just explain what the difference between drift mode and drift mode pro is, I just know the pro version won’t work and the knob re-starts it self over and over ^^
Thank you! The Knob restarts itself because you have the latest S3XY app version, but not the latest Knob and Commander version. So please install those too.
Super happy with the SEXY knob! Just love the kickdown function that brings my M3P from chill to sport. Just would like a software update that the kickdown goes instantly instead of 2-3 seconds to go full power. Ideally you make it configurable (instant, 0.5 seconds, 1, 2 seconds or so....) Keep up the good work and keep updating your fantastic tool!
I think they used to sell a simple mount that either clipped in to the vent slots or was taped to the column shroud. I don't see it available in their shop any longer.
We do not produce this phone mount anymore, since we had to shift all of our resources to the Knob’s production. We are thinking of adding a different one later this year 😊

I saw the enhanceauto mount/charger was out of stock so I went looking at Amazon and found one that looks just like it for $90. Brand is Cidava, works great. Note it's not just a mount...also does Qi wireless charging, so that price point is somewhat more reasonable.
Glad I found this. Was looking at some videos and articles on the knob that show temp and seat control, but nobody was talking about the delay because it has to go over the internet 😮 Why wouldn’t this work locally with the commander?
The screen rotate isn’t working on 15 Pro Max properly, I’ve reinstalled the app and it didn’t help. If the app launches in portrait it still shows the landscape dashboard very tiny
All these new features with in this new application version are available with the first generation commander and buttons? I have a commander gen 1 and Continuous Autopilot does not have an activation button under this new application version. So I cannot activate it.Thanx for a great job.
All of our features are available with the gen1 Commander. Please update the app and the Commander and go into the Commander function. Then look for Continuous autopilot
I set one button to have a macro to down volume and up volume. Also, can you add a wait state? It would be handy with the button I put in the hatch area to lower the front seat backs.

Is there any way to save settings for passenger seat? Say that you can have to presets and you can toggle between those using a press on a button? So combining a smart function with a press of a button. Would be perfect if that was possible.
It would be great to incorporate the possibility of having the air conditioner always turned off by default when getting into the car. Sometimes, you just want to get into the car to grab something, and the air conditioner starts running unnecessarily.
I was wondering if you could add a blind spot feature to the Command Dash. Maybe something like you do with the turn signal; however, maybe make the color yellow. I know this could be difficult since it''s not a currently feature within the Y or 3. I believe the Cybertruck has a biuilt-in LED near the column.
Is the cloud feature available for everything I see listed? I tried some of the functions and received a long error: s3xy buttons expected 17-character vin in path (do not user Fleet API ID). Will the garage door feature be available on the commander in the future? Everything for the commander works. Cloud I haven’t had any luck
Is there an ability to set a button to “close all”? Basically close all open doors/trunk? I see the option on my car’s screen, but can’t find it in the app.
Less energy to the motors, since you've only using 1 set at a time, which should (in theory) mean a higher mileage per charge. Would probably need to be tested in the real world to see hown much.
It depends on your battery. But the avatar number is 45 degree Celsius. On some models it can reach above 50. When the temperature reaches its optimal limits, the preheating stops and reactivates again when drops under a certain number. The temperature drops normally, depending on the conditions (if you stay in one place and the weather is cold, it will drop faster than when you drive and the weather is warm).

We were producing this holder for sometime , but had to redirect our forces to the Knob and we had to stop making it. Also, there are too many copycats of it now 🙂

Have you looked into "non-adaptive" cruise control, where it will just drive a constant speed instead of braking for cars ahead (particularly nice when the cameras fog up and TACC is not availiable
@@OneOfDaKine82 Yeah, but this phone is not meant to connect to the car's Bluetooth - my main phone is for that. I do have a workaround for this, but it's kinda weird. I have an automation in my Home assistant instance where I send a command to my dashboard phone to turn the screen on and open the s3xy buttons app when the car's occupancy sensor is triggered - this works, but there's delay and it also only works when my dashboard phone has internet connection (I do not have a working SIM in it).
About desactivation of a motor or the drift mode, I am actually quite worried about these functions that are cancelling basic securities of the Tesla system, and I’ll never use them. I feel secure about the buttons or commander functions that emulate actions by the driver, but scared by the others. Consequence of a bug, impact on driver’s responsibility in case of accident, and insurance?? I would highly appreciate it if you could propose two software options: one with those “insecure features “ not implemented, and another for “adventurers “
Thank you for your honest opinion. We do not force anyone to activate any features. We have added them because there were hundreds of people asking for them. So me made them for them, and you don’t have to use it.
Please make the disabling for the motors available with kickdown, so that I will be able to drive even more eco-friendly and with longer distance, but providing the full power or AWD when i need it, for example for a overtake... or for some people, a get-away 😄
Not exactly sure where to post suggestions for new features but how about linking buttons to a person's profile - can that be done? For example, button 1 on the wheel for me turns on/off AP, but my wife only likes TACC, not autosteer. Right now, button 1 is single press for AP, double press for TACC but she sometimes doesn't press it twice fast enough. Would be great that when PROFILE HUBBY is selected, COMMANDER knows one press is AP but when PROFILE WIFE is active, COMMANDER knows one press is TACC. Doable? Or is that something you cannot access? Thanks.
Why would it? It is the same as if you have moved it via the button on the side of the seat. The notification that you will get is not connected to the airbag , but rather that the car thinks that no one is moving the seat but it actually does move
just got the knob, really love it I've already updated the firmware, but the temp still not sync with the screen😢, Model y from Hong Kong😢😢 *update: fixed it after updating the commander's firmware as well😂 but the fan speed still not sync, hope that fix it in the future too👍🏻
How about a clamp-on blinker lever for the new cars that don't have one, that would be great and would make a lot of people happy. That shouldn't be a problem for the Buttons now.

My Y finally has the presenting doors function! Just loving it! However, after auto presenting doors, it also turned on my sentry mode, even though I have it excluded for my garage. Is this normal? Can it not turn on my sentry mode after presenting doors? Thanks!
It should not turn the sentry mode for you. We do not have access to that computer. Can you monitor the behaviour and email us with some pattern you find
Ive been waiting for this update! Unfortunately the temperature only changes on the screen when the S3XY buttons app is open and the phone is unlocked. Will we have to wait for the next update for the changes to the screen will work without having to have the app open and the phone unlocked? I just want to jump in the car and go. Not have to unlock it and make aure the app is open.
We totally get your point. The issue is that the new Tesla API is not yet fully optimised, but we are working on finding a workaround. For some reason, the Android phones do not accept the commands in background
Sounds like a great update, especially with the option to disable motor (front or rear) for the awd cars. Will this (disable motor) also be available for the new M3 Highland Performance?

As we said inside this video- if you own an Android phone , you need to have the app open on foreground for now. If you own an iPhone, it should be opens in background 🙂

I'm using the knob and the commander. I want to use the App "Scan my tesla". But I don't get connection toan OBD. Does the commander act as an OBD for Scan my tesla or is an extra OBD necessary. Can you have multiple phones attached with different options? ie, I want to leave a dashboard in the car (an old phone), but also have my own phone enable the lock open and stuff.
My concern is at what point will Tesla decide you have gone too far. Turning motors off and doing things like drift mode is way beyond giving us physical access to software buttons or some features that are nice to have. You are now interfering with fundamental vehicle operations and maybe safety.
We only do what our users ask for. If it looks too dangerous for someone, we suggest not to use it. It’s not like we turn off your motor without your knowledge 🙂

Well, we release about 12 updates per year, we can’t just push new complex actions out of no where.

All these new features with in this new application version are available with the first generation commander and buttons? I have a commander gen 1 and Continuous Autopilot does not have an activation button under this new application version. So I cannot activate it.Thanx for a great job.
All of our features are available with the gen1 Commander. Please update the app and the Commander and go into the Commander function. Then look for Continuous autopilot
I set one button to have a macro to down volume and up volume. Also, can you add a wait state? It would be handy with the button I put in the hatch area to lower the front seat backs.

Is there any way to save settings for passenger seat? Say that you can have to presets and you can toggle between those using a press on a button? So combining a smart function with a press of a button. Would be perfect if that was possible.

It would be great to incorporate the possibility of having the air conditioner always turned off by default when getting into the car. Sometimes, you just want to get into the car to grab something, and the air conditioner starts running unnecessarily.
I was wondering if you could add a blind spot feature to the Command Dash. Maybe something like you do with the turn signal; however, maybe make the color yellow. I know this could be difficult since it''s not a currently feature within the Y or 3. I believe the Cybertruck has a biuilt-in LED near the column.

Is the cloud feature available for everything I see listed? I tried some of the functions and received a long error: s3xy buttons expected 17-character vin in path (do not user Fleet API ID). Will the garage door feature be available on the commander in the future? Everything for the commander works. Cloud I haven’t had any luck

What is the use case for disabling front or rear motors? This was added for a reason I'm assuming so what benefit does this give you?
Less energy to the motors, since you've only using 1 set at a time, which should (in theory) mean a higher mileage per charge. Would probably need to be tested in the real world to see hown much.

What temp does the battery peak when battery pre- condition ? Once it hits that limit does it dramatically starting dropping temps ?
It depends on your battery. But the avatar number is 45 degree Celsius. On some models it can reach above 50. When the temperature reaches its optimal limits, the preheating stops and reactivates again when drops under a certain number. The temperature drops normally, depending on the conditions (if you stay in one place and the weather is cold, it will drop faster than when you drive and the weather is warm).

We were producing this holder for sometime , but had to redirect our forces to the Knob and we had to stop making it. Also, there are too many copycats of it now 🙂
Is there any way the vibration upon boot up of the knob can be disabled? If not, can you please consider adding this feature to the next release update?

Have you looked into "non-adaptive" cruise control, where it will just drive a constant speed instead of braking for cars ahead (particularly nice when the cameras fog up and TACC is not availiable

I have my other phone acting exclusively as a permanent dashbord - would it be possible to start the app once the car screen turns on?
The closest it can do is If you have an iPhone you can use the shortcut app automation bluetooth option
@@OneOfDaKine82 Yeah, but this phone is not meant to connect to the car's Bluetooth - my main phone is for that. I do have a workaround for this, but it's kinda weird. I have an automation in my Home assistant instance where I send a command to my dashboard phone to turn the screen on and open the s3xy buttons app when the car's occupancy sensor is triggered - this works, but there's delay and it also only works when my dashboard phone has internet connection (I do not have a working SIM in it).
About desactivation of a motor or the drift mode, I am actually quite worried about these functions that are cancelling basic securities of the Tesla system, and I’ll never use them. I feel secure about the buttons or commander functions that emulate actions by the driver, but scared by the others. Consequence of a bug, impact on driver’s responsibility in case of accident, and insurance?? I would highly appreciate it if you could propose two software options: one with those “insecure features “ not implemented, and another for “adventurers “
Thank you for your honest opinion. We do not force anyone to activate any features. We have added them because there were hundreds of people asking for them. So me made them for them, and you don’t have to use it.
Please make the disabling for the motors available with kickdown, so that I will be able to drive even more eco-friendly and with longer distance,
but providing the full power or AWD when i need it, for example for a overtake... or for some people, a get-away 😄
For now, we will keep it only in Park, so people can have a good control over it, and be sure that it is on or off. Will see later what can be done :)

Everything will work for now. The CAN2 data will not, but we are still working on it and when we are ready, we will announce it
Where to get that Steering wheel stock Phone Mount that you have?
Not exactly sure where to post suggestions for new features but how about linking buttons to a person's profile - can that be done? For example, button 1 on the wheel for me turns on/off AP, but my wife only likes TACC, not autosteer. Right now, button 1 is single press for AP, double press for TACC but she sometimes doesn't press it twice fast enough. Would be great that when PROFILE HUBBY is selected, COMMANDER knows one press is AP but when PROFILE WIFE is active, COMMANDER knows one press is TACC. Doable? Or is that something you cannot access? Thanks.
Unfortunately, the Commander can only have 1 phone paid to it, so no option to change profiles :(

Will the seat adjustment feature effect airbag deployment protocols? Meaning airbag speed to seat relation.
Why would it? It is the same as if you have moved it via the button on the side of the seat. The notification that you will get is not connected to the airbag , but rather that the car thinks that no one is moving the seat but it actually does move

How about a clamp-on blinker lever for the new cars that don't have one, that would be great and would make a lot of people happy. That shouldn't be a problem for the Buttons now.

Ive been waiting for this update! Unfortunately the temperature only changes on the screen when the S3XY buttons app is open and the phone is unlocked. Will we have to wait for the next update for the changes to the screen will work without having to have the app open and the phone unlocked? I just want to jump in the car and go. Not have to unlock it and make aure the app is open.
We totally get your point. The issue is that the new Tesla API is not yet fully optimised, but we are working on finding a workaround. For some reason, the Android phones do not accept the commands in background

As we said inside this video- if you own an Android phone , you need to have the app open on foreground for now. If you own an iPhone, it should be opens in background 🙂

I'm using the knob and the commander. I want to use the App "Scan my tesla". But I don't get connection toan OBD. Does the commander act as an OBD for Scan my tesla or is an extra OBD necessary.

Can you have multiple phones attached with different options? ie, I want to leave a dashboard in the car (an old phone), but also have my own phone enable the lock open and stuff.
Only 1 phone can be connected to the Commander at one point.
My concern is at what point will Tesla decide you have gone too far. Turning motors off and doing things like drift mode is way beyond giving us physical access to software buttons or some features that are nice to have. You are now interfering with fundamental vehicle operations and maybe safety.
We only do what our users ask for. If it looks too dangerous for someone, we suggest not to use it. It’s not like we turn off your motor without your knowledge 🙂

Can we have door open only at home? My parking place is out of Bluetooth range and dark (go find the door handle!). This is where it would be useful for me and don’t think I will use it anywhere else
