- After making one for Jotaro, it was inevitable that DIO was next... I really love how he was portrayed in both games, both astonishing and a bit mad. The game developers really captured how fabulous DIO is even with just the manga at the time. Very cool!

It is impressive to me how the ASB devs were able to make every normal in DIO's kit a reference to a panel
even his side step in one direction is a pose from a panel

Dio's grab working properly in asb is a reference to shadow dio in hftf
Why when i see Jacker Dio in Hftf i was like "Damn he looks cool i wish we had that costume" But when i see the other jojo games that has jacket dio i was like "Ohh its Dio"
Dio'a kick to throw knives in ASB is a reference of Shadow Dio from HFTF
It's just a general reference to the "checkmate" scene

The World lunges forward directly. Screen pauses for a moment and knives instantaneously surround the opponent. The time stop is not shown.
All-Star DIO 236AA:
DIO himself lunges forward with a high kick and knocks the opponent into the air. The time stop is shown directly, as well as DIO throwing the knives. Damage is done when time resumes.
It's almost as if two supers based on the same scene employ the same method of attack...

A good thing about ASB/R Dio is that his s.623X/236X has better tracking compare to HFTF Dio. It has three variants to use in a blockstring; in a combo; or for a low sweep against far opponent to close the gap. All three works like a stand teleport/blink.
omg is this math?!
One thing I like more about the HFTF is how quite Dio is, he usually just grunts or says muda while asb usually only says muda which will cut into another one doing gameplay. I didn't mind it in the anime though.

HFTF has better sfx it has more voices but asbr has some of the same voices but HFTF wins in voices

How can you do 3 knives fan in ASBR? When I try it, my hhg bar gets reduced in 1 each time, making me only do only 2 knives...

@@Nova_48YT is not a question about how fast, is about how he can do it WITHOUT EXPEND gauge in time stop
@@Yeheahpractice mode let's you use three when you turn on infinite gauge, as the game doesn't spend bars instantly during timestop and let's you get out three.

As nice as asbr is, I really like the voice direction of hftf more. Wish there were mods to replace Dio's voice with his hftf one, and use AI to generate the missing ones.

In his gha he literally stops time to slam the opponent with road roller unlike eyes of heaven just making kakyoin reference
