Thanks for this - a few Qs. Can you transfer calls to other people in the organisation? Can we set up an auto direction thing (e.g. press 1 for sales, 2 for accounts etc. and have a centralised phone in each dept)? How would we go about porting our current number over? Do all numbers need to be assigned to a person? e.g. can we have a central number still for general inbound calls that's not assigned to anyone?
I don't get it? what's the cost for 100 users (M365 Business Premium + msTeams phone /w international calls only) vs same amount of users but using local Telecomm plan ?
So if I want to have a centralized corporate phone number I can buy a service one from Microsoft and add a license to each user. This way inbound and outbound calls would use the same number. Is that right?
@@bearded365guy We are using it in Australia, the biggest issue is not being able to receive SMS. Our phone bill sliced to 1/4 of what it was (and that includes the data plan we use on our mobile phone to run teams on).
Operator connect seems to be a viable option that's what we are going with. $115 for 10 concurrent calls vs the $225 we were paying for the same sip trunk. Other licensing was involved, but price was it was cheaper because we got rid of 2/3 of desktop phones. *Granted the Yealink MP58 with the EXP50 doesn't work well at all... I have Mutiple support cases open to get that fixed. So overall desktop phones suck because of that lack of speed dials.
Thank you Jonathan! This was a very helpful video :-) I was just wondering if its possible to bulk upload external telephone numbers to Microsoft Teams. Just so that when an external telephone number calls we can see who it is because we already have there number saved. I have only been able to add telephone numbers manually for each client. This will be helpful for when clients call our direct line.
HI I need some Help , I have some Polycom CCX 400 Business Media IP Phone that did not come with Teams embedded them. Is it possible to have it initialized and setup for teams... That is to have it start up as team certified or Teams enabled Phones... Please Help we already have these phones for over 6 months but brand new
Would I need to purchase one domestic calling plan license, along with the Microsoft Teams Phone Resource Account, and Microsoft Teams Phone Standard to get this started? Seems like I'm purchasing a lot of licenses. Also we have about 100 employees but not all of them need a phone number to dial out. Is it possible to just purchase an exact number for the users that will need a number? We would be porting numbers so we can use the auto attendant and need some calls routed to the users that have a license. Thanks again for your video!!
You forgot to mention that MS Teams does not cover SMS & MMS Text Messaging. The fact is that is not covering these 2 important features at the moment.
Great video thanks! Quick question, if I have a Team with 5 users, would each of those 5 users need a license in order to make a receive calls or would it be 1 license for the actual Team that the 5 users are a member of?
Hi, do you know when the $15/m Microsoft phone plan will include sms/mms, text messaging. Every VoIP phone offering has unlimited text messaging & voice calling for a standard plan. Would you happen to know when that will happen? And thanks for all your videos, great stuff!

I don't know what accent that is, but your content is great to listen to. You are either an evil villain, or a mad scientist. Good stuff.
It’s a Yorkshire accent from the north of the UK! Thanks for your comment!

Another great video : )
Great video but a tad expensive a licence for every user on top of your providers cost? Just use a SIP setup system, much more cost effective

I don’t think so. Teams physical phones are specialised

No, it doesn’t.
Have you figured out how to keep mobile device app to stay available for after hours calling without setting up a forward to a cell number?
Hi please help... We need to get this call option on our 365 how do we go about it
@@kingraymmcrm5475 which call option?

Hi Jonathan, thank you for this video, definatley something to look at implementing. Do they include Teams calling in an A5 license?
I think that A5 has the Phone Standard license, but you still need to buy a calling plan

Each of the 5 would need their own license!

Zoom does
exteremly expensive just to be able to call outside party.

Hav u found a good alternative?
