Just found your channel and I appreciate the information you are sharing very much. You mentioned in this video about Rinse and Repeat for each user and if someone had a better way... IF you go into Billing >> Licenses you can select the license and assign that license to multiple users quick and easy.
Thanks! For outbound calls, there was a step missing which we discussed in the community: groups.google.com/g/collaborationsimplified/c/4Pf6_CKQe2s/m/pt2xsp1EBAAJ
Thanks! For sure, you can opt out to an operator or even front end this with another auto attendant app and make this directory an item off it. See my build a call center video for more ideas.
great feature! Is it Pay-As-You-Go the only plan that works here? We use the Calling Plan with pooled minutes included, can we use this for shared calling? Thanks
Yes, don't see an issue here. The regular calling plan numbers can support multiple incoming calls as well, so if a call comes in via the PSTN to one of these users, it'll just be held via that incoming # and then the transfer to the shared calling member will be via VoIP - should be all good, though I haven't tested.
There is Powershell for Mac, but I haven't set it up myself. Here are the steps: learn.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/scripting/install/installing-powershell-on-macos?view=powershell-7.3
great video, you show how to make inbound calls through the shared number however i have users with direct phone number, can those users make outbound calls using the shared number too?
Thanks! Users with their own phone number will have outbound calls go out their number. If you want those users to use the shared number for outbound calls, you’ll have to have them join the shared number group as well. Then both incoming and outgoing calls will come in/out of the shared number.
Hi. We have a fixed number that we are using for customer support. Can we configure that number to Teams? We are planning to use teams for inbound and outbound calls. Your guidance matters. Thanks in advance
Hi there, yes. You can keep your number and port it over to Microsoft, then follow the setup process in this video or my call center video (th-cam.com/video/a9N5dSpT624/w-d-xo.html). Here is the info on how to port numbers to Microsoft: learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/phone-number-calling-plans/port-order-overview
I realize I'm late to this party, excellent video, but is there a way to test your best practice of adding the ECB number without having to actually call 911?
I'm receiving an error indicating that I can't assign calling plans to my resource account. Has something changed with licensing in the 10 months since this video was posted?
Hi there, thanks for posting this on our community and sharing about this unique deployment as well as your efforts around it. Hopefully we'll get it figured out soon: groups.google.com/g/collaborationsimplified/c/4Pf6_CKQe2s/m/ITKXX0e1AwAJ
I don't think you would - the incoming and outgoing calling config for shared calling are independent flows. You can also share your project details and ask questions in our tech community: groups.google.com/g/collaborationsimplified
Look above under the pinned message, there is a direct link to the post. We use the group to discuss and provide edits with screenshots, to simplify the config steps.

I went to the group but could not find the missed step and I have the exact issue of not being able to dial out.
@@thedger2067 Does this work? groups.google.com/g/collaborationsimplified/c/4Pf6_CKQe2s/m/pt2xsp1EBAAJ
Works Perfectly. Thanks@@CollaborationSimplified
I can’t get to the being able to dial out step from the link which is needless to say pretty important, any other way to access it?
This Channel is so underrated!
works perfectly! Thanks.
So True
Thank you!!

Perfect, thank you!! I'll try that next time - appreciate you letting me know 👍
Excellent video!
Thank you Pete!!
Very nice video. I followed the setup and I am able to receive inbound calls

@@CollaborationSimplified I found it, outbound is working now. thank you
Great video, in the instance the person calling doesn't know who they want to speak to is there a fallback option, assuming it would be the operator?
Thanks! For sure, you can opt out to an operator or even front end this with another auto attendant app and make this directory an item off it. See my build a call center video for more ideas.

Are other users with assigned calling plans able to forward an outside call to you if you just have a shared number?
Yes, don't see an issue here. This is what I have been waiting for but I use Mac how do I use powershell

Fantastic!!
Thank you! Cheers!
if we use operator connect with the Pay as you go calling plan, does the operator charge us for outgoing calls or does it do Microsoft?
The Operator would bill you for the telco costs (outgoing calls).
@@CollaborationSimplified thanks for the confirmation. 😄

i am trying to set up Shared calling in Thailand and I would like to know if this is possible to set it without emergency number calling.

Not able to make outbound call with AA, and i am not able to assign location id to the voice app number, can you help please?
Hello, have you tried this? groups.google.com/g/collaborationsimplified/c/4Pf6_CKQe2s/m/pt2xsp1EBAAJ
To apply policies for multiple users
Select all users and click edit and then it applies policies to all selected users 🎉
Thank you! 👍
If I just need to grant a few users outbound calling do we still need to setup the auto attendant?
I don't think you would - the incoming and outgoing calling config for shared calling are independent flows. You can also share your project details and ask questions in our tech community: groups.google.com/g/collaborationsimplified
Can you connect with International users
Yes, absolutely!
what was the step missed? can you post here without having to join that group? i joined the group anyway

Can shared calling work if the license assigned to the shared number is a Domestic Calling Plan (e.g.3,000 outbound domestic minutes)?
I don't believe this is supported. Only PAYG plans or direct routing or Operator Connect listed in Shared Calling docs.
