Cruising around Warsaw in a sunrising morning, in a 2021 Audi A6 (C8) 40 TDI Limousine (to not confuse with the stretched one called "Long"). With only 7000kms (4350mi) on it, this car is truly / nearly brand new.

The Audi A6 "C8 Generation" has been launched in 2018 and is still in production now in 2021, and will be until the launching of the C9 in 2023. Until then, a facelift may come with minor changes. No big deal to expect from them ••• Among 12 engines combinations (7 petrols / 5 diesels), the one I had was the second least powerful 40 TDI (204 Hp) MHEV S tronic.
😱 FIRST IMPRESSION ?
As a driver, it feels like you are an Executive or a very important employee (but the car has to be in silver.. not white nor black). I would say that the A5 and A7 are driven by the type of guys who wears white sneakers with suits.. the A6 is meant for real men who don't have the need to show off to get appreciated by their entourage!! ••• I love this car, it's a pure beauty, very elegant, especially in Silver Metalic.
🤔 WHAT ABOUT THE CAR ?
[ + ] Very quiet car, even at high speed or during hard accelerations
[ + ] I like the size of this car : there is enough space in both rows (which is not the case with the A3 Limo - • 2018 Audi A3 - POV Dri... and A4 Limo - • 2022 Audi A4 - POV Rai... )
[ + ] Good trunk space (530L)
[ + ] Second least powerful engine ? Not noticeable! For me, it was an amazing flying machine!
[ - ] First of all, I think it's a shame to not include as standard "ambient lightening".. it felt really dark inside during my night pov drive.
[ - ] The second row center console can literally fit only 1 phone (utterly useless).
[ - ] Way too much plastic inside, including steering wheel buttons, front row center console, cup holder, when they could use some less noisier material like rubber or something..

ps : As always, I'm trying to see if the least powerful version of a model and standard configuration are good enough ? In this case, I had the second least powerful engine with a pretty basic interior. Engine was perfect for me, the interior a little bit disappointing. It's a shame that you have to opt for a huge amount of options just to make your car look / feel better.

I think the A6 is better proportioned than the A8 and much more interesting than the A4, especially in that S-Line trim. As it comes to the A6's main competition (bmw 5, mercedes E-class or Volvo S90) I would still choose the A6 over them. Audis are tremendously good cars

This is what I thought as well.. but now, after I drove it.. I don't mind anymore! All those screens do nothing special.. and thoses touchscreens will break someday, and when they do, you will wish to have normal buttons instead +++ Those touchscreens felt for me like a 10 year old android tablet.. very very poorly done actually 😔😔

Thank you Dan, I appreciate :) It is a front wheel drive mhev (sorry I forgot to mention that in the bio but fwd is mentioned in the begining of the video). You can have a 40TDI with Quattro and also a 45TDI Quattro Mhev.

No, it doesn't come with ambient lights as standard which is a shame!!

How does this compared to his bigger brother A8? In terms of sound isolation and overall comfort
It make you feel like you made it.. I felt like a CEO or something!! Sound isolation is truly what makes the difference in those upper classes.. The drive is very comfy and relaxing.. and most of all you feel like a proper gown-up (I don't know how to explain that feeling, but the A3/A4, 1/3 series or C-class make you feel like a teenager).

The kickdown is not instantaneous, but the Audi A6 40 TDI is certainly the best car I've driven so far. Its exceptional quality build and noise insulation set a new standard in driving comfort.
sound isolation and quiet engine which is better a6 OR Mercedes e class please give me full details because i will buy one in may 2022
I haven't driven the new E-class yet.. but as it comes to the A6, you don't hear the engine inside & out.. even when full-throttle accelerating.. which is obviously a good thing!!
