Love your style. I was in London in 1976, 77 & 78.
I am so glad you interviewed Penny Morrison. I haven't tried making a lamp shade. I have made a lamp decorated with paint and a little decoupage to look like a Mackenzie-Childs inspired piece. I would save up and buy a lampshade if I found one in the US I could buy. Tell Penny to use the swimmer's wax for her candles. It keeps them straighter in the candelabra. I inherited my Mom's and great-great-grandfather's furniture. He was born in 1850.
I wanted to know :
1. During lockdown ( across the pond ) How much & where does she buy & store her gin? Doesn't look like any corner stores nearby.
2. Christmas was great for me- My brother gifted me cases of wine ( which I store in my pantry - fair is fair. All but one bottle is drained. ) We've changed the way we purchase necessities whilst we are adoring our amazing homes- I happen to feel exactly the way Penny does- this has been a reset of our priorities and for the better. Hyperfocusing on our surroundings, is quite stupendous for folks in the home industries. Thank the Lord ! I personally never get bored in my home because it's FAB U LOUS. Seasonally, there are different projects that I can plan and see through. What are you working on Justin ? Did Penny inspire some projects for you ?
3. Justin: Can you relinquish the control like Penny did to Guy to recreate spaces ( laundry room to breakfast room ? ) I don't know... I'm kinna a control freak .....
