Penny has such a unique way of mixing and matching colors, and patterns. And I also love the fact that she has her own textile room for putting together her own fabrics. Her home is so beautiful, and that garden is to die for! A lovely acreage that's prefect for animals to graze at peace. Lovely home tour as usual!
Every room is breathtaking. The art collection alone is magnificent but I LOVE how the gilded frames just dance in the colors of the greens, pinks, raspberries and yellows. Absolutely stunning. The ottoman is perfect! The whole estate and grounds--perfect! You would think this took a lot of effort, yet it somehow looks effortless and more importantly, loved. She seems so sweet and genuine-the kind of person you would just want to sit and visit with for hours. 😊.
Quintessence I’m obsessed with the blush-colored room. And the armoire full of hats! I wonder if she needs a hired hand to shepherd her sheep...I could bring my collies. 😉
I'm in tears now. Tears. This is so lovely; I want to move right in...I'm so glad no one convinced me to repaint my green walls. My little cottage in northern Michigan is chock full of a lifetime of finds and color everywhere...no one here seems to understand my aesthetic. People always say I have too many lamps. Too many lamps?! Is that an oxymoron? My Mother used to say I had a rug problem and needed to learn to "just say no to rugs..." BUT WHY?! You validate my concept of beauty and it makes me JUST SO DARN HAPPY watching these videos. You validate my life (just kidding. sort of.) THANK YOU! I'm going back to painting now...
I could just move in my suitcases and live with her the rest of my life. She has such an amazing outlook, style and her love for animals makes me happy. The colors and paintings are so inspiring! And when she says to buy something you like and not worry about where it will go because when you get home you will find a place for it, she knows how to hug my soul. While the home's decor isn't at all to my taste, I certainly do appreciate how cozy, lived-in, and colorful it displays. It shows her personality for sure.
I think curating things from travels and special shopping adventures, added to sentimental family heirlooms make a house feel more like a home and less like what I call “a Pottery Barn house” where it looks generic as if you plucked everything straight out of the same catalog. I, too, like the stories and memories associated with my eclectic treasures I’ve accumulated over the years. However, I do prefer a much calmer, muted aesthetic without as much going on visually. But I think it’s wonderful she derives such pleasure from having all of her wonderful bits and pieces surrounding her along with the bright, vivid patterns and colors everywhere. I can appreciate the beauty in things that aren’t necessarily my style. Thank goodness we are all so different, otherwise, how boring the world would be! Thanks for another lovely video... and always made more enjoyable with footage of the pups! 😊🐶😁🐩🥰

This isn't my style at all but I absolutely love it. With a wave of her hand she generously suggests you just buy any old thing that takes your fancy and find a place to stick it when you get back but, of course, she is extremely brilliantly talented to make this work so superbly. You cannot see it's been designed, but it's actually meticulous. It's a real home, not a showpiece and it's incredibly inviting, happy and welcoming. If you didn't get it already, the guestbook at the end tells you this is the home of warm thoughtful generous people who love other people.
I LOVE everything about this home.....the colors the textures the feeling .....so beautiful and comfy it makes u just want to look around and appreciate it all ...
To me, all the treasures in Penny's home represent a map of her life. I love that she surrounds herself with things that bring her joy and validate a life worth living. What impresses me is after having had a tour of her home, I am left with an impression of who actually lives there. I find nowadays, so many people's places all look the same and with what I would call, cookie cutter decorating. Who wants to live in a home where everything matches and looks like it was all purchased on the same day at the same store--including the book jacket on the coffee table. No thanks! @50Street21, You said it. I got bombed with negative comments after visiting the Architectural Digest channel. I wondered aloud where the personal effects were that to me, makes a house a home. My observation was not, to put it lightly, received well. My response was to quit watching theirs and start watching Quintessence, where I have been happy and cozy ever since.
Just driving up to the house would lower my blood pressure. What a dream & of course the interiors are perfection but I knew that would be the case before I clicked the button. Thanks again Quintessence for taking us along.

I think curating things from travels and special shopping adventures, added to sentimental family heirlooms make a house feel more like a home and less like what I call “a Pottery Barn house” where it looks generic as if you plucked everything straight out of the same catalog. I, too, like the stories and memories associated with my eclectic treasures I’ve accumulated over the years. However, I do prefer a much calmer, muted aesthetic without as much going on visually. But I think it’s wonderful she derives such pleasure from having all of her wonderful bits and pieces surrounding her along with the bright, vivid patterns and colors everywhere. I can appreciate the beauty in things that aren’t necessarily my style. Thank goodness we are all so different, otherwise, how boring the world would be! Thanks for another lovely video... and always made more enjoyable with footage of the pups! 😊🐶😁🐩🥰

This isn't my style at all but I absolutely love it. With a wave of her hand she generously suggests you just buy any old thing that takes your fancy and find a place to stick it when you get back but, of course, she is extremely brilliantly talented to make this work so superbly. You cannot see it's been designed, but it's actually meticulous. It's a real home, not a showpiece and it's incredibly inviting, happy and welcoming. If you didn't get it already, the guestbook at the end tells you this is the home of warm thoughtful generous people who love other people.

To me, all the treasures in Penny's home represent a map of her life. I love that she surrounds herself with things that bring her joy and validate a life worth living.
What impresses me is after having had a tour of her home, I am left with an impression of who actually lives there. I find nowadays, so many people's places all
look the same and with what I would call, cookie cutter decorating. Who wants to live in a home where everything matches and looks like it was all purchased on
the same day at the same store--including the book jacket on the coffee table. No thanks! You have a lovely home, Penny, and certainly one that is loved.

@50Street21, You said it. I got bombed with negative comments after visiting the Architectural Digest channel. I wondered aloud where the personal effects were that to me, makes a house a home. My observation was not, to put it lightly, received well. My response was to quit watching theirs and start watching Quintessence, where I have been happy and cozy ever since.

The best part of that house is the garden. House itself has a heavy and granny energy.
