I am using a canon R10 camera with 18-150 lens. Need some suggestions if you can help to take the best pics, I know that i am missing the techniques which can be followed to capture best results.
Cost also matters 4 to 5 times from a 14 pro max. If you calculate value against quality. I phone create a great job. But if you want just quality no budget issue. You can go for a full-flash camera Also.
There are many more options in digital camera. First for telephoto you need iPhone pro line which is already expensive. Also a digital camera gives you breadth of options even in an all in one package now a days with new lenses such as tamron 35-150mm f2-2.8. That gives creamy bokehs and so much options for portrait and landscape making all the difference between an iPhone snapshot and a photo you want to save. The difference becomes more pronounced when the sun starts setting.

Sir I recently bought Canon eos rp with 24-105 lens. I'm not that impressed as expected. Before camera I was using Samsung galaxy note 20 ultra. I feel like max zoom power of lens is equivalent to that of 5x optical zoom option on my phone !

It's going to be a tough competition for DSLR going forward, improved camera lenses in mobile will be a virtuous for mass, eating DSLR market buying ratio. It's sad for DSLR lovers, but it's a bitter market trend reveals. Pick-Click-Post is a new mantra. No doubt legacy shutterbugs stick to iconic DSLR machines, because it's not the photo but the life after the click that matters a lot. Btw, I am a DSLR lover 📷.. And, old habits take time to... Dynamic range video ke mamle me I phone ka better hai or photos me bhi potrait me dslr ke paas advantage rahta hai ki alag se lens laga kar depth of field badha sakte hai halanki dslr me color grading karke highlights thoda kam karke bright shadow badha kar or thoda black badha kar i phone ko beat kar sakte hai....

As much as i appreciate your work and videos Kunal, i don't get the motive of this comparison.
Image capturing capabilities of a camera is definitely going to be much better than that of a phone. It's the post processing of iPhone that helps it outshine or makes a contender.
Comparison with some much cheaper / entry level cameras can definitely help.
The processing was actually what made it look less appealing to me, the accuracy of the camera in capturing a moment, as it is, is what makes the camera special imo.
Both camera and phones do photo processing, it's just phones do it to much larger extent to support their inferior hardware. Here Apple/Google phones have much better , sensible algos.
Not an expert but only RAW images might give you completely unprocessed data.
Please make a video on post processing of images after taking photo. After watching this lag raha hai ki for routine use my R7 will outperform only after post processing. iphone14 beats R7 in every category

It's to be expected tbh. The camera has a larger sensor so IBIS won't be as dramatic as that of a phone

if anyone is unable to differentiate between digital camera and mobile difference then focus on glass , hair , sky and the background difference bcos in digital camera background from body is minimum but in mobile background difference from body is maximum and digital camera easily focus on sunglass, hair , and another stuff by the way love from us

1. Video is best in Video cameras or camcoders.
2. Photography still nothing beats film DSLRs. Though recent Mirrorless look capable.
3. For quick snaps Mobile cameras are very reliable and the only practically suitable carry.

If I am Nikon or Canon CEO, i would be really worried. Iphone's USP has changed over the period from Hardware to Security to Design to UIUX to Camera. In 2023 their USP is Camera while everything else is available by default. IPhone prices never goes down, only a previous version price drops slightly when new version comes with higher price, it has good long life, sync capabilities within IOS eco system, good resale value. Overall a top class brand in their category and segment. Initial ownership cost is very high but you enjoy the phone for everyday for next four years and you dont get bored and still aspire to buy another new iphone. That is immense value to a customer.

I love my Canon R5, but when it comes to affordability, instant photography on an iPhone is far superior to that of a digital camera.
I guessed correctly since the colours are easy to guess and make the image appear sharper and more coloristic than they would in a digital photograph.

iPhone or any other smartphones provide a processed image where the phone's chip does a lot of the post processing work to provide a final output while with a dedicated camera like say the R 5 the user has to do that post processing work himself/ herself.
Thus the images/videos captured from the phone r good to go to social media while the camera's need to be processed to get the desired output.
You can get get RAW photos in 14 pro models 🤦🏽♂️
So, for vlogging the iPhone is good for and other stuff.

DSLR photos take storage of only 1 or 2 mb but mobile photos storage is about 4 to 5 mb... But why mobile photos look blur when you zoom in and if you print the printed photos are not good as dslr photos...
