Such a cute video! You asked for some plant-advice, so here are some tips from a fellow plant mom: if you're plant is overwatered (like your monstera) you need to change the whole soil. Clean it off from the roots, cut back the roots that are rotten/squishy and put it completely new soil. Then wate like normal, don't let it dry out too much. For your philodendron (the long one that's looking a bit sad) it's probably best if you shorten it and propagate the bits that you cut off in water. This allows the plant to prdouce more leaves and "fill" these empty spaces. Hope this helps!

Hi Linh, firt off all, love you're channel! You seem like such a nice and caring person with lots of love for yourself and everyone around you. It really inspires me. As for the monstera, I would have filled the bottom of the pot with some gravel mix so the water can drain more easily and you have a less big volume of planting mix, which holds on to the water. But anyways, hope your plants survive and thank you for the video ✨

Linh I highly recommend checking the Building Museum out for their exhibits when you get a chance! That's prob my fave museum in DC, it's not free but it has some of the coolest exhibits that I've ever seen, and they rotate fairly regularly so there's usually new content to see!

I love watching your home videos! 🩵 some monstera tips: they love being root bound and the pot you planted it in is too big. It should be like 2-3inches wider than the plant I think? But something just slightly bigger than it's original pot. Also make sure to get rid of the old soil and cut off any dead roots! I usually use orchid bark and peat moss in my soil mix, it helps with the moisture. Monsteras are super resilient IMO. They just need time to bounce back :)

i'm sure you already know this, but placing pots on your piano can be very damaging for your instrument even in case of a minor leakage! As a pianist who has some bad experience, i'd suggest either double dishing them or finding a new spot for them :')

Hi, Lihn! I love your videos. I am a plant lover myself, and I always went to a Vietnamese grandma for some plant wisdom. Whenever your plants experience root rot, you can mix a spoon full of hydrogen peroxide with some water. She recommended cleaning the roots and removing any dead ones. Use a water bottle to spray them down with the hydrogen peroxide/water solution. I hope this helps! It worked well for me whenever I became a new plant mom!
I said spoonful since my water bottle was very tiny. Good rule is like 5% of hydrogen peroxide in ur water solution
