Inspiring ... Mind, may be trained Body, forged Spirit, is revealed. Did the 8-day Lemosho route Sep, 2020, thanks for your wonderful video, don’t know how you managed to stay so fresh and sparkling!
Congratulations - A true lifetime achievement. I put myself on autopilot and hiked until I stood exactly where you stood at 19,341 feet. Again, my congratulations!!
Yes would definitely want to climb someday. This was very beautifully shot and narrated. I loved how you captured every hikers reason for hiking Kilimanjaro. Thanks for sharing. Also really nice of you to recognize the efforts of the helpers.
I,m proud of you Alice. Not giving up or turning back is a good policy, mine as well. A task unworthy of commitment is a wasted endeavor. You're on a good path.
This was a brilliant video! Thank you! It's amazing how Africa keeps permeating everything I do. We stayed at KIBO Safari Camp last month and every so often, Mt Kilimanjaro would appear to us like the Mists of Avalon. She was so beautiful and majestic. I cannot wait to go back! XOXOX. Get home safe.
Great video, loved your commentary and the things you shared. I climbed Kili via Rongai route a few years back . As you said, ne of the most challenging things you can do. Both physically and mentally. I loved the gang I climbed with, the porters and guides. Once COVID settles down, I will take my son there to see sunrise at the top. Last time the porters called me grandpa, not sure what I will be next time. Anyway, thanks for sharing the video.
Working my way through your videos. You lead an amazing life. I was especially touched by your heartfelt thanks to those who supported you on your trek to the summit. It really brought together all that you had gone through, both emotionally and physically. Congratulations on an amazing accomplishment.
What a great video. Super well done. The range of emotion in your voice when you spoke of the things that are important to you, this is what makes this climb accessible to the rest of us. I'll never make it there but this is exactly the kind of video that will help me experience some of it, Very, very well done.
How remarkable! How inspiring! How aspirational! As one who fell in love with the mountains and the summit as a young man, I have shared both the many agonies of the climb and exhilaration of the view offered by the peak- what pure joy it was to "tag along" on your journey. You are an extraordinary achiever. I wish your continued prosperity in all ways of life!
Hey Alice, def do it! watching your video besides the lack of obvious air it seemed the hardest thing is overcoming whats in your head. providing health and mind are in stride def do it again. I would love to do that climb, as a professional landscape photographer I was admiring those kickazz backdrops you all had. Cheers AF
Really great work Alice!, and an excellent job sharing with us what The Kilimanjaro Experience is all about! Your PURPOSE/INSPIRATION was awesome!, and am sure your Dad was with you, and incredibly proud of you...
Great job on the video and making it to the top. My wife and I climbed via Machame route in March of 2017. Loved it!! Returned in 2018 and climbed Meru. Heading back March of 2019 to climb Kili again via Lemosho. Prior to Kili my wife had never even slept in a tent. This mountain changes you. Neither of us expected this, or that we would ever return. It’s magical!!
Congratulations Alice on climbing to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro!!! Thank you for sharing your adventure with us. It is a wonderful video. I love watching your adventures and look forward to the next one!
Thanks for the brilliant video - the whole range of emotions you went through are clear for all to see. The trek looks a lot harder than I expected. Well done to you all (including the amazing porters).
Congrats Alice! Great video. I want to do it when I retire in 3 years but you worried me with how hard it was for a stud like you. I'm pretty determined and stubborn and just love to be on a mountain. Kilimanjaro and Africa look so beautiful and so do the people. Thanks for making this video. Pole pole!
Hey, I climbed Kili when I was 55. As Alice says, yes it is physically challenging, but more so mentally. When you reach the top, the rewards are worth what it takes. It is emotional, inspiring, crazy and so many other things. Best way to train i8s to go for a wlak, lots of them (oh, and take Diamox). Best of luck.
Congratulations Alice! It's no small feat. I have been up Pico de Orizaba and have a dream of going up Aconcagua in the future. Also, congratulations on the task of documenting this journey! I'd imagine there's a lot of thought put into spare batteries and the logistics of it all...
Awesome! When did you go up orizaba? I summited in January 2020 after a previous attempt in December 2018. I'd love to do Aconcagua as well one day! Hopefully in December of next year
Alice, You doing a great job in this video. I'm not too much into the women's day thing, but I respect what your group was able to do and appreciate you sharing it. All the best... Eric
Sensational and inspiring video Alice. Appreciated the emotional experience of the hike as well. Your experienced guides were essential and exceptional. Thank you for sharing this and your many other travels.
I would love to climb there too. It's very interesting and very inspiring. I used to go mountain climbing before and I missed it badly. You shared a lot of things on this video, thanks for that Alice.
It is great that you put focus on the porters, or sherpas. They are doing an incredible job. Not many people could do it after them. And it is good watch a video like this with another focus. Thank you.
You are just so Real. Truly appreciate you and your efforts. Great to see and experience this mountain. It is amazing the feelings of accomplishment when you summit. I guess that's why we do it.
Alice congratulations to you and the rest of the girls on your achievement, this is a really great video you have made and I enjoyed watching it so much. I am doing the same climb next year. Well done, and I loved that you reached the summit on such a poinient day. I joined you in a few tears when I saw you at the top, very emotional, well done girl ☺
Hi Alice! Wonderful video and makes me want to climb the mountain too! I was initially thinking of Fuji, but this looks super challenging. Definitely going for this after Fuji. In the past i've been to Mt. Bromo and Mt. Ijen. Those are pretty easy ones in comparison to this. Plus Mt. Ijen has this phenomenon called 'Blue Fire' which happens at only two places in the world. You should go there too. Thanks.
Good job, but I have no desire to work that hard. I will leave it for the younger generation. I am feeling better and enjoying drinking more water throughout the day thanks to you. Around 140 or more ounces ,temps have been hot here... over 100°, I gotten friends to drink more water too.
Hi Mike, That is so great to hear. The temperatures sure have been hot, I have been drinking a lot more too with these heat waves. Glad you are encouraging others to drink more too, super excited you have been feeling better. :)
My wife and I climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro February 2015. It was our first multi-day, high altitude trek. As you experienced, it rained or sleeted every day except the last day when it snowed. The Barranco Wall was my favorite part of the trek. I've seen your stunt video and I can't believe that it "kicked your butt." I enjoyed the Serengeti Plain safari that followed too. Great video.
That’s so great! The Barranco was amazing. Just seeing the train of people passing bags up that section was awesome. Thanks so much for checking out this video. I got a few concussions a few years back and ever since it’s been a bit harder for me to power through like I could when I was younger. The summit was so emotionally draining above all else. I look forward to hiking more of the 7 summits in the years to come
Kilimanjaro is done on a group tour can’t really just change the dates if you don’t want to hike in rain. This year the rains came earlier than most years.
Would you climb Kilimanjaro? Or have you already? Let me know in the comments below.
Given the fact that it is a once in a life time experience and not a lot of people are able to climb up to the summit.

Congratulations Alice on climbing to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro!!! Thank you for sharing your adventure with us. It is a wonderful video. I love watching your adventures and look forward to the next one!
Thanks very much. I will have more adventures out soon. Are you a hiker yourself?
Yes. I try to get out for a hike during the weekends when it is not too hot out. The perfect temps for hiking are in the low 70's in my opinion.
Amazing!! Can’t wait to do it this year!!
Yes! When are you going?
In July 😊 so nervous but so excited!
What a great experience.
I love this! Congratulations! I hope you're doing well!
Thanks for the brilliant video - the whole range of emotions you went through are clear for all to see. The trek looks a lot harder than I expected. Well done to you all (including the amazing porters).

Ape Man Thanks. It was hard for sure but Diamox helps if you’re worried. I’m sure you would do fine since you’re so active. :)

@@AliceFordAdventures Many thanks Alice.
Haven't climbed it, but would definitely consider it. I worry about the altitude, but I bet it feels amazing to get to the top! Well done 🙂
It sure does feel amazing once you reach the top. And also exhausting.
This is amazing. My friend and I are planning to hike Kilimanjaro in December..you should come back and hike Mt Kenya

Great video! I'd love to find out your process. This is very well produced. Do you write your scripts prior to your trip or on the go?
. thank you so much I write them beforehand and then add things as I go. There’s always things I learn along the way
My sister did this in 2019, at 51 years old. Hardest thing she ever did. Her husband did it in June of 2018. I’d love to do this...
Yes I'm missing your world of adventure you are an awesome women
Thanks Michael. I will get back on track with weekly videos.
Alice Ford beautifully
