If you need to downgrade your macOS due to issues with an unsupported upgrade from OpenCore Legacy, follow these steps: First, download the correct macOS version for your computer. Then, use OpenCore Legacy to recreate a bootable drive with the same hard drive or USB you used for the initial unsupported installation. Once done, restart your computer. The external USB or hard drive will now serve as a bootable installer for the desired macOS version. Restart your computer, go to Disk Utility, erase everything, and then install the macOS you want. After installation, you should be fine. One important note: it’s wise to let the OpenCore Legacy Patcher team fully resolve any issues before proceeding with upgrades. From my experience, you’re not missing much from the latest update, like Sonoma, apart from some widgets, which are not essential. Your computer is your responsibility, so make informed decisions about your upgrades. Hope that helps!

To be fair, these days you actually need need an internet connection when installing/reinstalling just to verify MacOS install with Apple servers and download appropriate firmware updates... regardless which method you use. Intel or M1/M2 etc.. After doing all the steps that u passed, it keeps showing that image of circle with a strip in the middle, saying the iMac cannot suport the macOS Monterey.
What should I do?
I have ugraded my mac 2019 13.1 ventura to 13.6 ventura and my mac is not running correctly after 1 or 2 minutes it stuck and then retarts automatically and then I saw error and then it tries to restart again and when I tried to go to dist utility by pressing command +R it shows a glob and a bar but it is not showing disk utility and also even after doing that it is not fixing.
When I paste the command ---/volumes/(name of USB) I just receive " /volumes/(name of USB is a directory", what do I do from here?
I have succeeded in downloading BigSur to driv. When I go to Terminal it will not let me edit box and change last Volume to BigSur?

I have a Mac running Ventura and am considering trying out Sonoma. If I make a time
machine backup before I upgrade and decide to downgrade again, can’t I just follow this process to downgrade and then restore the time machine backup from the clean reinstall of Ventura?
this is exactly what i have done
I backed up my Ventura to TimeMachine
upgraded to Sonoma
hated it
tried to restore from TM but with no luck
found this video
reinstalled Ventura from USB stick
and used Migration Assistant to restore my Ventura backup
and everything looks perfect now
