Thank you for creating a new level of car reviews. After initially not even considering Volkswagen, I bought a new model Touareg - with air suspension etc. - two weeks ago, helped by your review. And I can certainly support your impression of the interior and drive - very happy with the car.

buddy ... I LOVE your videos ... and also I am a huge fan of VW(AUDI,SEAT,SKODA,,BENTLEY,LAMBO...etc BUGATTI) of course VW and AUDI are top favorite for me.THIS V8 RLine Toureg is just a BEAST ... and the design is outstanding + the wheels are soo beautifull.

Very good reviews! I must say that your tests are one of the best. I like your testing style a lot, simple but in the same time complete, so everybody can understand and make a opinion about the car you test. I have a suggestion, if it is possible and i think many people would apreciate if you can change the language of the multimedia system of the car in english from german. I realise that this is now quite an old video but these vehicles are really very special. Together with the new Discoveries, Volvo XC90 etc they are an awful lot of car for the money. I know that the Tiguan is a lot cheaper but if you spec it up to the level of the Toureg, there isn't that much in it. This is a much more sophisticated off-roader.

Very nice car review! And I love the deep blue color as well. VW is still new in the Philippines, I hope it would pick up here and add more to their line-up. Still pricey since the Touareg and Tiguan is shipped all the way from Germany. I wish to own one someday. :)

What is happen with vw touareg for UK market? There is no "ESCAPE" trim anymore and 4XMOTION seem has been omitted too. WHY??

Good review, but it's a pity the off road track is so umm mild, The Touareg is capable of much more than that.
Thomas could you review the 2016 model? Would love to see a more in depth review like your normal ones (not press event) - we are looking to perhaps get a V6 180kw TDI model :)

There is no other review that comes close to this one. Good job. Am confident I will be getting one of this in the spring time. Too bad here in the states we will not be getting that air suspension.

I had a 2009.5 TDI with the air suspension and loved it. I will say, though, the current generation's steel spring suspension is still very good, just not as offroad worthy. My 2009.5 also had 4XMotion (as opposed to standard 4Motion), with locking diffs. I believe that drivetrain is still available in Europe market Touaregs. I really wish the US got all of these options on current generation Touaregs.

What a fantastic vehicle! Will I be able to get a Touareg TDI with the offroad goodies here in the United States? I had a first generation Touareg; it was the nicest car I have ever had. However, when VW stopped offering the offroad options in the US, it no longer served my purposes.
wizardoforange Indeed such a great car and still not too overpriced comparing to other full size SUVs. Well the offroad thing might be a problem, as it seems the track package is only available in Europa AFAIK. I will ask Volkswagen and get back to you.

I've been on the VW web site and downloaded the Touareg brochure as well, and I don't think we can get the off-road "goodies" here in the USA. It seems we can't get the air suspension at all. That's a real shame.
VW is kinda jerkin' us around with their US trim levels and available equipment. They do it with the GTI also. We don't have nearly the flexibility Europe does, or Canada, for that matter. VW should be more considerate of us, considering we made their fortune and assured their success with all of the millions of Beetles we bought years ago.

刘博宇 Afaik you can always pick the air suspension, just the offroad package is not available everywhere. Last check with your dealer!
刘博宇 Someone here in the comments said the air suspension wouldnt come to the US. I guess you wont get it either then. Best is to ask your local market volkswagen guys!

Yes nobody is going to feel the difference with 30nm as that is 10^-9 of a meter which is near to a billion times smaller than a meter.
Now 30mm might be more noticeable.

kang kukang Really? I think the RX 350 is pretty ugly in comparison to the Touareg.
Do you have see 2012 Lexus rx 350 facelifted? Of course this facelifted Touareg's "better" but some sections of front bumper, i mean, that reminds me to 2012 Lexus rx 350 facelifted. And the sections of what i mean is: 1.) the grille (two horizontal was good and like the predecessor but four horizontal?? That's too much), and 2.) Lower part of front bumper (before facelifted it has like this " \ / " but now " / \ "), looks like 2012 Lexus rx 350 facelifted, right?
kang kukang Compared it again, I know what u mean. The very basic design _directions_ are the same, the RX is however "sharper" drawed. For my personal opinion, I dont like the Lexus design, the Touareg looks more classy

Just facelift to keep fresh. No big changes. It s as 99% same as 2014 touareg.
seven power Yeah I said there are not that big changes in this Facelift, but I think it is a nice fresh up which evolves the Touareg even further. No reason not to buy a non-facelift one, but all improvements are nice imho.

But obviously it also has nothing to do with the engine, it seems to be just the indicator/instruments, or what do you think? We quite often have pre-production cars, that might be one reason. But definitely a reason to check.
+Autogefühl I have A 2011 CC; the same happened but with Speed not RPM when I go on 6th gear between 107 and 118 km/h. I don't think there is wire for this instrument any more since 2004 so I am thinking about electronics fail or something like that!!!!
