    Installing aftermarket fog lights for a Honda CRV 2017-2019, but fog light installation for most cars are similar. I decided to run the fog light independently of the head lights.
    Picked up some aftermarket fog lights for $175 CAD + $25 CAD Honda wiring harness; both off eBay. They are an OEM style of the fog lights available on higher trims of the 2017-2020 CRV in Asia and Europe.
    Comment below what you think of the fog lights, and also feel free to ask questions there and Ill try my best to answer them

    Just wanted to let you guys know that I think the relay might have been draining my battery when the car is off since its directly wired to the battery so I re-tapped it into an accessory fuse on the exterior fuse box. If you're not sure how to do this, check out my dashcam video here for the same method of using a fuse tap on an accessory fuse to get power to the lights only when the car is turned on th-cam.com/video/etzweQqOGGc/w-d-xo.html. This example is on the interior fuse box but its the same method for the exterior fuse box

    I was really hoping that they were an upgrade to oem. My 2029 Ex lights are not that bright, and I just upgraded the headlights. I really appreciate what you are doing here it looks really cool bu the way. Lots of very helpful information as screw sizes. My upgrades came without any screws. I am having a problem just envisioning how these parts fit together and I am pretty handy. This is serious work, so I am going to just go step by step. I will be removing the bumper. The fuse idea is a great way to go. Thanks again.

      Thanks! I might consider the mirror mod in the future. I think the video quality could be a youtube thing or sometimes the gopro performs really poorly in low light conditions 😅 ill make sure to check that out for future videos if its not a youtube thing 👌🏻

    • @Anotherusernameugh
      @Anotherusernameugh 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      He didn’t have OEM fog lights so all the wiring and switch would be new. And yes, you can just tap into your FL wires for power, but you will still need turn signal wire from headlights for seq turn signals

    • @AnthonyMo
      @AnthonyMo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Honestly, they dont seem to be too much brigher but it could be because my car is lowered and I havent adjusted the beam. I would say it helps with lighting a bit in the sense that its a white light instead of a yellow light, but the lumens are pretty standard of LED blub replacements so I dont know if it would get much brighter than it is

  • @JoseHernandez-km1uc

    Hey, do these fog lights actually serve the purpose and are bright enough or is more for aesthetics only?

    • @AnthonyMo
      @AnthonyMo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are just aesthetics for sure. I can barely notice them on the road. If you want fog lights that actually serve the purpose, you would probably have to go for the OEM style ones that are circular and use an actual bulb

    Can I just plug them on the original plug of the car? I can do with the regular lights, I'm not sure I wanna play that much with the wires 😅😅

    • @AnthonyMo
      @AnthonyMo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah you can if the OEM harness fits. I only had to do all this wiring because I didnt have OEM fog lights to begin with (base model). However, you'll still have to tap into the turn signal wire if you want the sequential feature

      @@binosh0106I saw just this video. It’s very good. I have a Honda CR-V 2019 LX and I was able to install the regular EX style fog lights aftermarket kit. I had to figure out how to wire everything, connect it to the car battery. Since it’s regular fog light, I didn’t tap into the any wiring for turn light. I didn’t cut the wiring harness to feed through the firewall. I just pushed out the firewall grommet and fed the wire connector through. Then I used a donut grommet to try to cover the hole as much as possible. I used a tap fuse to tap into the car interior fuse box. It all worked great but it was a long day.
