Do you plan traveling abroad to places that are similar to Alaska (e.g., Svalbard, Finland, Greenland, Faroe Islands…)? I live in Iceland, and it reminds me of a mini Alaska in some ways except we don’t have land predators except the super cute Arctic Fox.
Sure!! My mom took a trip to Iceland back in 2017 and camped for a week driving the southern part of the Island. So beautiful there! I would definitely like to go back and also visit Svalbard. Something about northern islands I can’t get enough of!
Everyone has their own methods lol I don't think a .22 is gunna do anything but piss the bear off more or hopefully scare it away in best case scenario. It takes a FAT bullet to do any damage to a bear and you gotta be pretttty quick to kill because most deadly situations happen within very close proximity. But what do I know I've never been the situation myself soo I just am basing it off of the info I've gathered from people who have lived here a long time.

Bear spray is a scam and does not stop a bear from attacking you. I recommend a .22 Rossi Rifle. It's cheap, reliable, and easy to handle.

Well really I try to not mention my exact location often. For safety reasons 😅 I do think most this info can be applied to southeast alaska
