The harmonica piece at the beginning is taken from the Sergio Leone Western “Once Upon a Time in The West “ and was written by Ennio Morricone. In the film it was played by Charles Bronson before his gunfight with Henry Fonda. Cydonia is a region on Mars and ties in with Muse sometimes being categorised as Space Rock as a genre. They only play the harmonica man piece live and it is not on the studio version of the track.
This song is also inspired by Telstar by The Tornados. George Bellamy, Matt’s father, was in that band.
Yep, apart from the tour where they recorded this gig, they've been using this song as the last song for the past 13 years. Before that, it was actually the first song in the setlist.
Cydonia is a region of Mars, where there were rocks that resembled human faces. More recent pictures have shown that those faces don't look like faces at all, they were just the result of shadows across the hills

i remember seeing them in Austin and this being the opener, and nobody expected it (2008 or 2009). Crowd went absolutely BONKERS.
Muse is the band that even if you aren't a fan, if they are in town you sure as hell want to see them, one of the best live acts on the planet!
Gotta do Plug in Baby from the same concert! This song, Muse never thought it would get so big. They were just having fun while created it.

I've been under the impression for a while that Italy has got the most hardcore Muse fanbase. Whenever Muse plays a show in Munich, where I live , there is a huuuge number of Italians in the crowd. One can easily tell because they are the most passionate, jumping, singing and screaming like crazy. ^^ I once chatted to a girl who told me that she travelled up the whole way from Sicily. Even in Cologne, where I last saw them play in 2019 and which is a 6 hour drive from Munich , I noticed Italians in the crowd, and italian licence plates in the parking lot🇮🇹
This is the concert i have bleated on about for awhile, strap in my friend this is fucking awesome, you could do the whole concert, it will blow you away, enjoy.

From what I've seen online, they do tend to either open or close with this one yeah. Both times I saw them myself they ended on it.
Matt Bellamy's dad was also musician and had fame with the song Telstar, which has a similar tune to this song, which Matt borrowed from his dad.

Man, everytime I watch this song love (I haven't seen it in person) but even just through a screen I get chills. That build up to that hard hitting end. Oh man. I would love to see this in person once. I probably won't ever get the chance but it would be nice

It was a mid cobcert in this one the 5th After Supremacy, Panic station, Resistance and Animals if i remember quite well. But yes most of the times this song is used as an opener, like wembley 2007 or at the end to close the show, like for the simulation theory world tour in 2019.
