I built one, alone. It was very labor intensive, but it is unlike anything else. Most cannot believe what I have done. Now I am 60 and after such buildings, I wish I could have started earlier, but I am glad i built them.
I wish I could live in one of these homes! Not only are they environmentally sustainable as well as c onnected deeply to the land and nature, Kohji's artistic design skills, tiling and stained glass work are magnificent. Truly a sanctuary for the heart and soul. Thank you for sharing his work to the world!
In only 6 minutes I saw a world that is so magnificent, so beautiful, calm, homey, artsy and earth friendly. I could feel the love for the planet and peace, in a place where one can recharge their batteries and grow from there. Kohji is in my humble opinion way more than just an artist. I'd love to live this way too, to reconnect with our earth and nature. ;o)...
I’m so in love with this man’s soul and heart. Wow what an incredible human being. I would so love to live like that in a place like that my heart desires says so greatly my soul needs it may God bless me with this someday
I absolutely love this. I would love to Own one. Make one myself someday so beautiful. So calming to have all that Earth around you always. I would imagine it feels like you're part of your home.❤
Amezing way to build. I will start building my house in about a year using earth bags and also permaculture to recycle the water from the shower, kitchen and hopefully from the restroom. I do not know about how to do this permaculture thing but I am learning about it.
👍👌👏 Oh WOW, simply fantastic! I totally like organic forms. I would definitely love to live there. Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and health to all involved life forms.
Dear @@GrowingSmall Thanks for replying and especially for giving a heart for my comment. I totally appreciate both very much. Although I earn a lot of hearts, each and every one is unique and precious to me. I would really love to visit Japan but unfortunately I'm not even able to have a vacation in my own country. Being a German early retired human living in Germany, money was already very scarce. Nowadays it's becoming even more pathetic because of all the big companies greedy for power and money. Their puppets on strings (= politicians) only act as they have been told by the big industrialists. Unfortunately it's the same all over the world, sigh. Sincerely yours.
Probably one of the greatest home a human has built It's straight out of tales and novels This is how i am gonna build my home My salute to this guy who like curves
the key here is "natural" The Growing Small movement is based on re-evaluating nature and achieving a superior life based on getting into rhythm with nature again, as the old order based on fossil fueled disharmony with nature falls apart, it seems to me anyway.
This is fantastic but it is unfortunate that it is not referred to the inventor of the Earth Bag Building, Late Nader Khalily who introduced it in 1978 in the US and NASA.
The biggest issue with any house is acceptability with its neighbors. First impressions are everything in terms of being a successfully accepted and adopted. And, like it or not, and I definitely do not, but, if you are going to live in a neighborhood, the first impression a homeowner is going to leave, is the impact they will have on the surrounding property values. I would like to see one of these cozy cottages conform more to the traditional square shape. The biggest criticisms I've heard about dome homes are, "it looks like an igloo/boob/pile of 💩" and that comes from resentment of perceived lowered properly values for non-conformity on a street of box houses. So, don't paint your dome home white, pink, flesh colored, or brown, or the insults from the neighbors will write themselves.
I want a homestead like this more than anything. The way he was curled up in that window is to me the very definition of bliss

Love this place.... would like to have like this one of my own one day..😊😊
So cool bro. I subscribed. Be encouraged.
These houses are incredibly amazing and sustainable but also traditional japanese houses made of wood, bamboo, paper, etc., were quite sustainable.
both style of homes are acceptable. Maybe in the future in the right creative hands, they can be blended?
This is phenomenal work
Thank you!
So Beautiful
I like it very much. An individualistic approach to life and living may inspire us best to fight for sustainable political solutions ...
I love to build one such building in my farm.

How/where can we contact the artist?
Can we visit these places?
Is there any way to contact Kohji to ask him some questions about building this type of house?
Check out his email address in the video description. Cheers.

The narration is very pretentious but the buildings are cool and the artist is talented.
wouldn't rats or sand insects like ants be a problem???
