Thanks for this. I did a lower end rebuild oil pan ,shims , oil & coolant pump . I'm driving around for a little bit. Then I'm doing cylinder head, so i'm working my way up 😆
Thanks ... yeah, I'm hoping to get it finished up soon. I'm to the point where most of the engine bay area is cleared out but I don't know if I should pull the entire block or not. Gonna get back to it soon, but I'm kneed deep in rebuilding my engine for my Land Rover Defender. ... too many projects, haha.
The head is aluminum. I don't believe the aluminum is mixed with any other metal. It's cast and very soft. There are a lot of casting marks which I tried to clean up as best I could.
