You caught me at just the right time. I did this when you introduced this before. Ok, now we get to do it again. This time I have my digirig sound cards figured out. So the receiving should be much better. I plan on having my listening radio on for the whole week. I am going to try to have our ARES group get involved as well.
Thank you so much Randy for the heads up. I will be downloading the images with my Software defined radio, and "Rabbit Ears" indoors LOL. The absolute worse set up......But it Works!!
Randy, thank you for the video. The part I'm missing is, I think a virtual cable is needed here. When I open mmsstv it says a com port is not detected. Can you recommend a link that describes a IC9700 interface to mmsstv? Thanks, Ron M
I was able to hear other operators during the last (entire) pass but unable to hear the SSTV transmission. I believe that everything is setup correctly so I'm not sure what's wrong. Any advice is appreciated.
didnt know about this, there is also yoniq which is a newer version of mmsstv which runs a lot better. i run it all the time just listening on 20m with my ft710. just popped it over to the 991 to have it just listening. cus you never know. I assume that the modulation is FM
Thank you very much for this explanation - I catched the ISS yesterday Nov.11 21:50 CET/MET over Stockholm thanx to you -- and got 2 pictures 🙂73 Jens

There are some scheduled school passes that the astronauts talk to students.
