How to enable SRT Mode in your Chrysler or Dodge

- The Dodge and Chrysler vehicles share the same ECU whether it’s a v6, standard hemi engine or an SRT package. In this video I am explaining how I was able to enable the SRT package in my 2013 Chrysler 300 C John Varvatos #64/2000 with the hemi engine using my old cheap laptop and a cable from Amazon. You can disable other things like the seatbelt warning tone, but don’t advise anyone to do that. Local to Dallas.

This method is great for the older models. I have a 2018 5.7 300 and I had to get the bypass wire to have it to connect with the software that he recommended. Also, the performance pages “changed” to have the SRT logo, but not the actual timing pages etc.

I have a 2011 Chrysler 300c and tried but no luck. Would I have to purchase the bypass cable? I used the odb cable he recommended and read it couldn't connect

Does enabling the SRT features in this way also enable the shortcuts the Tazer enables such as turning On/Off the ABS by pressing and holding 2 steering wheel buttons?

@SuperPhilthyrich Man it's been a year but could you elaborate on disabling the ABS by pressing and holding the steering wheel buttons? which buttons exactly do you hold?
@@ratijolbordi4255 this is what they say on page 11 of the Taser manual. Remember, it only works when the Taser unit is installed.
Line Lock: when at a full stop and in Drive, press and hold the left arrow button on the left side of the steering wheel, and then press the Cruise button located on the right side of the steering wheel (the center button on the cruise control cluster). Note that you need to keep the left arrow button held down throughout this whole maneuver. Releasing the arrow button cancels the operation.
Once the ABS light on the dash comes on and “Line Lock On” is displayed on the EVIC, pump the brake pedal twice firmly. You’ll know you’ve done the steps correctly when you take your foot off the brake - the car doesn’t move or roll forward. The ABS has your front tires locked up.
Now, press the throttle and roast your back tires to your hearts content 😁
When you’ve taken your foot off the throttle and your tires have come to a stop, release the left arrow button to return to normal.
If your car fails to return to normal for any reason, put your foot on the brake and put the shifter in Neutral. That should cancel everything out.

Brother do you think this will work on a Durango rt 2014? I assume it works on charger/challenger/300 cause they make srt versions of them but not sure on the Durango since the tazer doesn’t have the same features on the Durango than the challengers/chargers etc

I have 2013 Chrysler 300c 5.7 hemi. SRT mode not show current gear position. just 2 dashes. do I have to enable anything in The Multiecuscan software? also on home screen shows Sport/Track.

Everything was stock, if you are just enabling SRT mode, it will not mess anything up. If you decide you don't want it anymore, log in and disable it.

I think you need to access through a remote OBD port like Tazer requires for 2018 and newer model...so buy the remote port from Tazer and it should then connect.

That is a factory option.
I wonder if you could do this on a 2012 SRT8 Grand Cherokee? I have a 2012 SRT8 but I don't get those options on my screen I just get the lousy whatever screen comes with the rest of the Jeeps. I'm not quite sure when they introduced it into the Grand Cherokee lineup but I wonder if I can get that online. I don't know if it's got the connections already connected up or what the case might be but I would assume if they did it would already be on the screen.

You have to get a bypass wire that goes in your trunk. 2018 and above were added a supposedly security link to help prevent theft from the standard under the dash.

It doesn’t damage the car it’s basically just a promgeam correct? for a 2016 Chrysler S comes with the 5.7 Hemi

Wats up guys? I have. 2012 Chrysler 300c Luxury w/o Sport Mode. Looking to update to the SRT version for the uConnect.. Which plug and play is Available?(as I seen some saying the one you got is not available anymore) And would I be able to turn off the MDS like the Diablo13 does? Like I was pausing the video to see some of the other options you can do and there's a lot to explore on there. Wonder if you can update features to the FOB as well as well as not needing the LockPick so you can play movies or music videos while driving? Appreciate the input/feedback if y'all can help a 5.7L v8 Brotha out LMFAO 🤣🤣

It all saves. Think of your car being in the factory. The engineer will log into the system and tell the computer that it is a 5.7 RT. The same computer is used on the SRT, so they log into the same computer and enable the SRT options.

What cable did use? You have to update the serial port connection settings in your laptop. I don't have my Varvatos anymore so no way for me to check.

When SRT is enabled it adds all the options for SRT, bootup, G Forces, race time, and logos
What if you want to remove it? How you do it?
You just log back in and disable the SRT option.

I have a 2021 300s 5.7 Hemi and it doesn't work. My ISO Code is BCM4166 which is showing up as "UNKNOWN/UNSUPPORTED"

Well I did this, it 100% it’s cool to have, but then after running my car 2 days my engine light came on.. errors U0002 and U0126 errors with the canbus module and the steering angle sensor, not sure if the performance pages messed with my car or if It’s just bad timing
So what happened? I heard even with the Tazer this sometimes happens with certain models as well. But did you disable it?
@@Tx_Jay_ the check engine light went away the next day, no clue what happened, but it’s been a week or 2 now and haven’t had any issues, I still have all the SRT menus

Never tried, but there are a lot of options to mess with, i just didn't want to go that far, just SRT mode.
