Excellent video. Everything was laid out properly and made assembling this complex kit a breeze. The gentleman walked through the steps in a very logical, measured pace. This is the second Lifetime shed I have assembled and am impressed with the clarity and order of the pieces in small bags. The best do it yourself kit I have ever seen.
The paper instructions are not very clear, so this video is extremely helpful in putting the shed together. I bought two units and on both the slots for the lid supports (EYG) were blocked. On one side I was able to push in the block with the end on EYG. On the other side I had to use a screwdriver and hammer to push the blockage in.
Super helpful. I was able to do it by myself by getting a little creative at times. This video was a great substitution for reading the manual and hoping that I don’t mess up or read something wrong. Thumbs up
So just finished building it, using your video as reference. I will say this: 1. You need to maybe label the screws in the packages, also separate them. Having it all in one bag for the whole section is a nightmare. 2. Your demonstration video is fast, which is fine, but you need to slow down and zoom in on some of the screws, as it can be difficult due to the aforementioned non labeled bits. I was also missing several screws, so I improvised with pre existing ones I had. 3. The instruction booklet has the screw diagrams which is nice but it’s still difficult to decipher which is which at times. Overall it’s a great and solid small shed. I’m happy about it.
Absolutely! Due to the screws at times being difficult to decipher, I used the Lord's name in vain more than a few times. What I discovered is the diagram drawings of the screws and the rest of the hardware are supposed to be shown to scale (or very close to it), so that helped. But, I'm with you Issac, putting each type of screw and nut in separate bags would help. It would be perfectly fine to place ALL the same kind of screws that would be used through the entire construction in the same bag but have the instructions at each step indicate how many you will use during that step. ALSO, another great suggestion to Lifetime is to mention the specification of the screw or nut or bolt (standard or metric and size/number). This way if something is missing, we'll know exactly what type and size we need to go pick-up at the hardware store. Fortunately for me there were no shortages. Like you, overall, a great shed, especially for the price. Mine was $350 at Sam's Club. Another $50 if it has to be delivered.
My thoughts exactly! I can’t tell a lot of the screws apart and now I put several holes in the top cover and have to go back and caulk it. I’m so sad because it looks bad 😢
I'm finding this extremely different. There are no screw holes in places the diagram says there should be. Not all parts are labeled and I have to guess what goes where.
This is my second shed from your company. The first one was Great!! It went together well, and easy. The second was a pain in the Butt!! Some of the cut outs for the support bars, were not cut out. You cut out some, but not all. The support bars were too big for the holes they were to fit in. It's like the personell got slopy, and showed lack of focus. I need another shed, but I won't get it here!
First step, put the floor panels together, wouldn't happen, finally the big hammer worked. The big hammer is the most important tool in getting the walls up and together. You could label the screws a, b, c, not the multiple letter mush now used. So far seeming like a good product.
Everything on the video was alright and clear about how to assemble, but the issue on my shed was the right hinge and the left, was the the holes were not aligned with the hardware. I had to to do an adjustment not wanting to bother to bring it back to the store since I already threw the box.
This video was made it so easy for me to assemble my new storage shed by myself. Thank you so much for having clear step by step instructions especially for us visual learners. ❤️
Just finished assembling mine! Great organisation of the bits and bobs -- it appears that you took commenters' suggestions to put screws for each of the 3 steps into separate bags, and that helped immensely. Unfortunately I do have one issue, and that is that the locking tab is a little too low for the keeper to go completely over it without really pulling the door up. It's not a deal breaker but was a surprising shortcoming after the rest of the build quality.
Nearly two years later, I am in the middle of taking this apart to re-assemble it up the top of two flights of stairs. Further thoughts on the design (and no, the latch has never, not once, come down easily for locking): it is designed for ease of assembly. I'm not saying it's the wrong decision, but there is absolutely zero thought into how you'd break this down to move it. And it's far too heavy to move as a single unit, unless you're scooting it along a flat surface.
Lot’s of hardware and lots of work. Took me 5-1/2 hours to assemble. However, the video was very helpful. Could not have done this with just the manual. I paused the video in each step, but still missed 2 steps. My only problem was securing the door hinges to the doors. Very difficult to get the screw to go into the hole on the metal bracket. My only concern is that the metal plate attached to the left door where the doors meet is only secured with screws into plastic. Very flimsy connection.
SLOW DOWN! AND ON THE SCREW BAGS ID WHATS IN THE BAGS ... SINGLE BAGS FOR EACH TYPE! THEN THE POWER LID HOLDERS WERE STUCK WOULD NOT GO DOWN, AFTER MUCH FUSSING AND REMOVING AND REATCHING FINALLY WORKED. NOW THE RIGHT FRONT DOOR SAGS!
We’d love to take a better look at your assembly to see what may be going on. Please send pictures over to our shed experts so we can troubleshoot some ideas. They can be reached at +1 (800) 242-3865 or by email at customercare@lifetime.com.
I had to play in .5x speed just to keep pace. Maybe include a picture from the manual from each section so that i don’t have to look separately. Other than matching the parts, I mainly relied on your video instead of manual. 👍
The video was helpful, BUT ... the screws need to be labeled or at least divided by specific sections. I don't know if I was using the correct screws or not, but I ran out and had to run to Lowe's a few times to get the correct one.
The hardware bag you'll need will be shown at the begging of each section and the top of each page. To make sure you're using the right hardware, you can match up the hardware to the picture since the images on top of each page is the actual size of the hardware.
ADX screws do not go into the lateral support channel (support channel holes too small). Also, if you drill them out you won't have enough ADX screws to finish the job. Also, there are no other screws that fit. What now?
This video is very helpful. I just hope they separated all the screws and label each bag with whatever type of screws that needed not with the whole bag and looking for what size of screws that u need when some of the screws are pretty much the same. I'm just sayin. Thanks for this video
Well, done video however had trouble sliding the hinge rails into the slots as the slots were covered with plastic which we removed by heating up the end of the rails and with a torch and sliding them through the blocked plastic
The video was helpful, but I wound up with 2 left hand brackets for the center support (which I had to mickey mouse together), the slots for the latch brackets weren't punched so I had to do that, and the hinge brackets definitely needed washers, which I had to supply. Other than that, it went ok.
I misplaced a few nuts and screws, so was trying to replace them, but in the manual and the video it does not list their sizes like lengths or thickness etc. So now I don't know what to pick up at the hardware store.

Great Video, my 60341 arrived yesterday . Seeing how I'm local and it took you 20:14 to assemble, want to come on over and make a few bucks putting mine together?
never mind. 1.75 hours assembly by myself. Used my wife of 5 minutes to assist lifting the lid. I found video to be great for section 1 and 3 and instruction sheets better for section 2
Solid video, but I cannot reiterate Isaac's point enough.... labeling and separating the screws would seriously improve the process, and make people hate you less.
I would like to buy this but the 2 separate lids concerns me. I have read reviews that there is leakage from this weak spot. Anyone tell me differently?
I am currently in process of assembling my horizontal shed. so far so good. however, one comment I have is that when installing the hinges, I found it easier to partially install the hinges first, before the vertical bar, due to the fact that you have to try to line up the screws from the hinge and through the 2 small holes in the vertical bar. it took a bit of back and forth to get those through, after that I proceeded to secure the bar to the door. I understand that this is essential because you want those hinges to be secured to structure.
Anyone know if this is the same shed sold at Costco Canada? The pic on Costco website looks a little differ than the one in video. The top is more rounded in the video shed.
Has anyone had issues with getting the horizontal support tubes to align to the holes? It looks like the sides have pre-drilled holes but the support tubes don't align to all 3 side holes. The back looks like you have to drill into holes that are no pre-drilled? The video and manaul don't specify.

I like that there were separate steps. However, the hardware for each step should be labeled for each step. For example, hardware, "ADZ", was needed for different steps but in my kit they all came in one bag along with other screws. I'm not the person who has an eagle eye for screws and many look the same to me. Screw ADX and ADZ could be confused. I am not an engineer. Was this to save money or something. else?
