Thanks for sharing, AMAZING ! Listening in car and driving, yes, pure magic.
The Wishing Machine.. a brilliant plot for a story if ever there was one.. William Burroughs gives aspiring writers so many ideas and material. I like his reciting of the cautionary story of the monkey's paw three wishes. These two story elements could be fused together. A 'careful what you wish for' scenario. Perhaps having to keep using the wishing machine to 'undo' previous wishes or re-balance things that change until eventually it breaks or something goes horribly wrong. I imagine the wishing machine would be a dusty old oriental looking curio found in a little backstreet antique store run by an elderly Chinese man who is reluctant to sell it ;-)
Wishing is manifesting. I wish for Freedom, Love and Good For All Humanity, Mother Earth to heal and thanks to Creator to heal with love vibrations 🥰🙏🏻👏👏no more evil
My lack of patience has almost led me to disregard Burrough's writing and speaking. Once I got over that and relaxed, I realized it is wonderful.
Everything you see has a special meaning for you because you see it
The voice from the Interzone...Fantastic!
I read the The Monkey's Paw years ago. It is a fantastic story, which I haven't thought about for a long time. Thank you!
this is prollzy my favorite recording of burroughs, piling through so many subjects in lighthearted humor. Thx for upload.
Nick Hinton's "Aquarian Singularity" sent me here.
What would you still be here for?
god damn that was good

actually, an interesting fact. William was the last person that Kurt Cobain spoke to on his phone before he died.

Saving this for later
Are all the gaps/edits in this present in the source recording? Odd...
