I called out his name and he turned around and said what's going on little man and gave me a handshake at that moment. I realized how down-to-earth and respectful. He was towards his fans. That will never forget that moment.

We make so many plans for the future in this short life and plan for retirement, but many do not plan where they are going to spend eternity.

My best friend and I were at a grocery store in Sherman Oaks back in 2012. Guess what? I saw Dwight Howard there and me and friend went up and introduced ourselves to him. He was so gracious and friendly and he also shook our hands. I don't care what Laker fans say negatively about him. My experience with him was a classy and friendly young man! I will always cheer for Dwight no matter what team he' s on!

Being a die-hard Laker fan, I struggled to like Howard when he had that spat with Kobe for a while. He seemed to act a bit high and mighty saying he was the new centrepiece of the franchise, while Kobe was still playing terrific basketball. He has seemed to complain a lot since with people giving him stick over his attitude and pay style, and his career has gone downhill based on the changes to the modern day NBA centre and the needs to be a good outside shooter (which obviously Dwight is pretty rubbish at). But watching this I felt quite impressed with him, and learnt to understand his side of the story of his life. I have struggled with maintaining faith and at times, even just as a teenager or young adult, sort of gone a bit wayward with my thinking. To be a huge star in one of the biggest sports leagues in the world, getting lot of money and media attention, and all that to start with straight out of high school must be hard to adjust to. I hope he continues to preach God's word and live his life the way God intended, and remember the importance of faith.

The problem today is that we abuse the grace of God and take it as a token to sin freely, with the excuse that Jesus died at the cross for our sins and he will fogive you no matter what you do. There is a difference between consciously sinning and sinning because i you did not know but, God knows the real intentions of the heart, he cannot be fooled. We need to see the difference and stop sinning and not abuse God's mercy.
