I know it as a phrase like "du strahlst wie ein Honigkuchenpferd"/"you're smiling like a Honigkuchenpferd". This mainly happens for food haha 😝☺️

This is one of my favorite videos so far! Phil looks so confused for most of it. I am a Deanna from the Carolinas (NC) who is learning German, so hearing you speak German gives me hope that maybe I don't sound as weird as I think I do saying some of these words with a Carolina accent.

Lebkuchen wird auch oft als Honigkuchen bezeichnet.
Und die kleinen Honigkuchenpferdchen sind aus diesem Teig ausgestochen und gebacken.
Früher wurden sie oft an den Weihnachtsbaum gehangen. Sicher hatten sie auch als Gesicht (Augen Nase Maul) aus Zuckerguss.
Da hat dann auch bestimmt jemand dem Pferd mal ein "big smile" gemalt.
Und daher kommt sicher ....."Er/Sie grinst wie ein Honigkuchenpferd ......süß und grinsend......lol
