They've succeeded. I am terrible at fighting games so I avoid them. I play them rarely... except for the netherealm ones because they have been on a whole other lever these past few years with their story telling. But normally I don't play fighting games because I'm not that good but blazblue has pushed down that wall of complicated combos and high skill barrier and has me playing nonstop. And to think it was the cast of characters that pulled me in haha. Put team RWBY in a game and I'm there
I agree. I don't think that for a fighting game to be good it has to have combos that look like mathematical formulas. Keep the gameplay simple but deep is the future of fighting games. Anyone who thinks that easy mechanics make it easy to beat anyone then go fight againts GO1 on DBFZ and see how it goes.

Yeah it's not going to last. Dosent have the flexibility of smash the the depth of and other arc game to last long term. It's sacrificing a lot for people who won't be around a month from now.

Good doesn't always mean fun for me at least. I have the most fun learning the difficult combos in trial modes. I personally find it more enjoyable than online. Dbzf is a good game but i don't find it that fun because of how all the characters are basically the same making top low tiers easy to point out. Tekken 6 got me into playing fighting games competitively and that game wasn't easy. High execution isn't a requirement, if you can't do the most difficult optimal combos in a game then just do what you can. There's no need to make those who aren't that good feel good because they can do the most damaging combo in a simple game. I wouldn't feel good because it's too easy to make me feel accomplishment. I can go on and on but it's just my opinion.
If any other Rwby charecters get in it should be the villains. Neo, etc This game needs more villains Adachi And maybe Taokaka, shes iconic and id like to play as her for the first time. Just my two cents.

Juckle Trust me, in regular BlazBlue, combos aren't this easy. The game is designed to be accessible which is fine. But everyone who plays BlazBlue sees this as... Well. A baby fighter. Or just a novice fighter. But by all means, I hope you enjoy it regardless.
I got it for my switch yesterday and played it after work for a bit, and I am hooked, simple to get into but definitely has a lot of depth and creativity, I am excited to see how this game grows and evolves with the new player base willing to hop in!
I really dig how they went about this game. I've been playing fighting games for as long as I can remember, and as much as I love the technical challenging side of it, compromising to make a system that's both deep and easy to access is great for everyone. Finally, I can actually get my friends to fiddle with the game with me, and it's awesome. Only thing I want now is some kind of offline 4 player mode. Where each character on each side is controlled by a separate controller/player, so 4 people can play like in Street Fighter X Tekken. Also, can we get Seth from Under Night? Like, pretty pretty please?
i found that dumb fight system shitty as fuck,i think if they maked technical and stylish like normal blazblue games,that would work well for me,but that dumb smash 2 buttons is so fucking sh#$,i get no satisfaction at all doing combos easy like that
Well for me i completely understand why you feel that way. But Ive mostly looked at this game as a good chance for me to get some people into fighting games who otherwise wouldnt. But dude i get how u feel about the lack of satisfaction.
Kenzops4 I can see why you feel like that, and honestly I felt a little like that at first, but I came to realise that even though the basic combo input is much simpler, combos done just by pressing those buttons over and over aren't that good. So I learned that the game still has deep and interesting combos to learn, only that they're executed through tagging mid combo and finding the different uses for the various autocombos. But I get ya.
Great job Mori-san! I'm really enjoying your game! Thank you for making this game accessible, especially so that there's a fighting game that my friends can enjoy alongside with me! I also believe the Steam version will be handled and fixed well, too, so looking forward to buying the Steam version! Keep it up and hope to see more!
I disagree with Mori-san on the oversimplification of the control theme, BUT while the idea was terrible on paper, the execution on the other hand was nothing short of a happy accident akin to Marvel vs. Capcom 2's roster situation. In short, I'm looking forward to what else they'll bring to the table, because this game is a ton of fun.
Karnera Mythos i don't think it's an accident that's pretty condescending since he clearly states it was his intention to do just that. I don't jknow this developer well but when someone accomplishes their goal I give props rather than undercutting their effort and sucess. But yeah if they add more depth in an extend version i'm definitely alright with that.
I'm hoping we get a Wave 2 of DLC so the under-represented sides of the roster get even with Blazblue's (at least for UNIST and P4A). There's also his interest in adding Penny and Adam from RWBY if he could, and the rumored Asuka and Yumi from Senran Kagura. He also expressed interest in adding 2B and 9S, so the sky is the limit, but whether or not we see any of these pairs is left to the imagination for now. Personally, I'd like to see Nasuverse characters in the future, and a mode that lets you fight with 3 other people (1 as your parter) ala DBFZ.
Yeah, the reason I ended up loving BB so much was the execution barrier and that felt I had so much to learn when I started out. I may not be crazy-good still, but I doubt I'd be able to imagine myself microdashing and pulling off 4Ks back then. TAG is also fun and the assists give the game a lot of potential, but I doubt the journey will be as plentiful as BB's was for me.
I just thought of this, but isn't this the first time bb got guest characters since es and naoto are part of the bb series anyways. So after 4 games they finally got a guest character, it ended up being more than half the roster and from 3 other franchises but yeah.
Very happy with the game thus far on Steam. Super happy there’s a full English Dub! Yang is getting shown off but she’s not in the main game, and her release date wasn’t announced. I think that’s a bad move. They might want to edit this trailer unless she’s coming out soon.
You definitely succeeded the game is just fun the more I play it the better it gets. Even though the controls are simple the game is still competitive it's a nice Balance. The Rwby characters are also a nice edition I have alot of fighting games but this is becoming my favorite.
So apparently i heard that amongst rwby characters, Mori wants to add Penny and Adam, and does recognize what the fans want, but thinks that just focusing on what the fans want can stifle creativity... Which is kinda hypocritical in my opinion here

I gotta disagree with your opinion there. An artist has to be able to pursue their muse otherwise we might end up with a bunch of lifeless characters and no one will be happy. I trust arcsys and rt enough to be able to satisfy their own creativity and fan desire. They might even be able to come up with something we didn't even know we wanted! Like maybe even a fully fledged RWBY fighting game. We just gotta be patient.

(maybe there are language differences) but just in case, i have win7 with a nvidia geforce GT 730, is old isn't? i managed to acces some "device settings" in a "performance" area of the "nvidia control panel" that let's me change frequencies of the "graphics clock" and "memory clock" and the have "cooling" on 0%
my only problem with the game on Switch is that they used old sprites, I dont know if they can update that... rwby characters looks amazing compared to in birth ones...please if you can fix that

It'd be really cool if they added some kind of party battle mode, like how you can do simultaneous 2v2 in Mugen or in Street Fighter x Tekken. Otherwise, the game still looks great! Hoping to pick it up sometime in the near future.

Currently I'm in Taiwan for a couple days, yesterday I saw the Japanese limited edition for Nintendo switch, I need to know if I buy this version I won't have issues with online and dlc features in my American account. I like the mechanics In this game. I know it haves simplified combos inputs but it doesn't take out the complicity of the game. however, I do prefer the simplified mechanics in this game over DBFZ.
I just play CTB and it’s really fun, like really fun honestly. And this is coming from someone who plays fighting games ever since 8 and plays a ton of KoF games. Sure is simplistic and the characters in the game doesn’t play like they used to in their main game but it actually kinda works for those who found fighting game to be difficult to play. And honestly it plays well and the online mode is functional it sometimes lacks but it doesn’t happen too often. And the Story mode while is short, it does have it’s charm from each series they represent. Not perfect but a solid game honestly. Now that being said, the character roster does need some fixing to do. Is no bad, heck I would say is better than Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax (at least all the MC’s from their respective series are playable in CTB) but I do have my nitpicks; firstly why there’s no Taokaka, Terumi, Seth, Chaos, Byakuya, or any other RWBY characters out of the main 4? I mean is ok to add some others that doesn’t get too much popularity but it kinda feels like the developers are not really listening to us that much, and secondly I heard rumors and leaks that more series are going to be added to the roster however (and this is way too bias I know but is just a nitpick after all) I don’t feel hyped at all those 2 series that might be added are Senran Kagura and Nier. I gonna be honest I don’t hate any of those games but I just don’t see myself getting into Senran Kagura honestly and if I wanted to enjoy myself I prefer watching a actual hentai honestly and as for Nier I literally never touch it or know about it too much, I just know that is for the PS3/PS4 and that’s a action game but that’s about it. I actually wish that they added some anime characters into the mix considering RWBY is already in the game so someone like Goku and Vegeta would make sense since they developed 2 DBZ games really recently or Kirito and Asuna since Arc System is making the mobile version of Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax (Crossing Void) so those guys might have a chance or heck if it should be anyone then someone from Fate/Stay Night would be amazing or Sadao Maou and Emi from Hataraku Maou-Sama!/The Devil is a Part-Timer! since they’re also in Crossing Void and making Sadao Fully playable would be a dream come true. Sure is Mori’s choice but I feel like he needs to listen to his audiences a bit more, is a good game but the roster needs some work to do still.

Joseph Orelien no problem, also if dlc 1 costs money don't buy it, it's an error in the eShop. PSN store is fixed and they're fixing eShop really soon(unless it's already free then it's fixed and it stays free for 2 weeks). Blake is also free and Yang comes around June 19 if I remember correctly

I'm happy the game's finnaly here, but can you explain why the collector's edition in america doesn't include the DLC while the Japanese version does although they contain the same content otherwise? I dropped 100$ and pre-ordered the game, but that just makes me feel like I'm being taken advantage of as a consumer, and that sucks :/
Love that this game is on the switch. I probably would not buy it otherwise. Because i just dont stay at home all the time. If Persona Arena was released on it that would also be amazing. Or a shonen Jump video game like DBZF. Put in Hiei and I'm ready. Also Persona on the switch would allow me to actually play those 100 hour games. No free time otherwise.

I can live without Terumi (at least until a potential Season ), but Adachi should've been base roster, no exception.

I'm hoping we get a Wave 2 of DLC so the under-represented sides of the roster get even with Blazblue's (at least for UNIST and P4A). There's also his interest in adding Penny and Adam from RWBY if he could, and the rumored Asuka and Yumi from Senran Kagura. He also expressed interest in adding 2B and 9S, so the sky is the limit, but whether or not we see any of these pairs is left to the imagination for now. Personally, I'd like to see Nasuverse characters in the future, and a mode that lets you fight with 3 other people (1 as your parter) ala DBFZ.
Yeah, the reason I ended up loving BB so much was the execution barrier and that felt I had so much to learn when I started out. I may not be crazy-good still, but I doubt I'd be able to imagine myself microdashing and pulling off 4Ks back then.
TAG is also fun and the assists give the game a lot of potential, but I doubt the journey will be as plentiful as BB's was for me.

I just thought of this, but isn't this the first time bb got guest characters since es and naoto are part of the bb series anyways. So after 4 games they finally got a guest character, it ended up being more than half the roster and from 3 other franchises but yeah.

You definitely succeeded the game is just fun the more I play it the better it gets. Even though the controls are simple the game is still competitive it's a nice Balance. The Rwby characters are also a nice edition I have alot of fighting games but this is becoming my favorite.

I gotta disagree with your opinion there. An artist has to be able to pursue their muse otherwise we might end up with a bunch of lifeless characters and no one will be happy. I trust arcsys and rt enough to be able to satisfy their own creativity and fan desire. They might even be able to come up with something we didn't even know we wanted! Like maybe even a fully fledged RWBY fighting game. We just gotta be patient.

Blaxe Frost I managed to get the game to 40 FPS after changing some graphics card setting changes but ya its a problem that was necessary.
If you are using Nvidia, just change the thing to high Nvidia performance optimisation, got 60fps no dropping after that.

Blaxe Frost Right click the background of your computer go to Graphics Properties -> 3D and in General Settings click Performance.
i don't see anything like it... (maybe there are language differences) but just in case, i have win7 with a nvidia geforce GT 730, is old isn't? i managed to acces some "device settings" in a "performance" area of the "nvidia control panel" that let's me change frequencies of the "graphics clock" and "memory clock" and the have "cooling" on 0%

I just play CTB and it’s really fun, like really fun honestly. And this is coming from someone who plays fighting games ever since 8 and plays a ton of KoF games.
Sure is simplistic and the characters in the game doesn’t play like they used to in their main game but it actually kinda works for those who found fighting game to be difficult to play. And honestly it plays well and the online mode is functional it sometimes lacks but it doesn’t happen too often. And the Story mode while is short, it does have it’s charm from each series they represent. Not perfect but a solid game honestly.
Now that being said, the character roster does need some fixing to do. Is no bad, heck I would say is better than Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax (at least all the MC’s from their respective series are playable in CTB) but I do have my nitpicks; firstly why there’s no Taokaka, Terumi, Seth, Chaos, Byakuya, or any other RWBY characters out of the main 4? I mean is ok to add some others that doesn’t get too much popularity but it kinda feels like the developers are not really listening to us that much, and secondly I heard rumors and leaks that more series are going to be added to the roster however (and this is way too bias I know but is just a nitpick after all) I don’t feel hyped at all those 2 series that might be added are Senran Kagura and Nier. I gonna be honest I don’t hate any of those games but I just don’t see myself getting into Senran Kagura honestly and if I wanted to enjoy myself I prefer watching a actual hentai honestly and as for Nier I literally never touch it or know about it too much, I just know that is for the PS3/PS4 and that’s a action game but that’s about it. I actually wish that they added some anime characters into the mix considering RWBY is already in the game so someone like Goku and Vegeta would make sense since they developed 2 DBZ games really recently or Kirito and Asuna since Arc System is making the mobile version of Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax (Crossing Void) so those guys might have a chance or heck if it should be anyone then someone from Fate/Stay Night would be amazing or Sadao Maou and Emi from Hataraku Maou-Sama!/The Devil is a Part-Timer! since they’re also in Crossing Void and making Sadao Fully playable would be a dream come true.
Sure is Mori’s choice but I feel like he needs to listen to his audiences a bit more, is a good game but the roster needs some work to do still.

no problem, also if dlc 1 costs money don't buy it, it's an error in the eShop. PSN store is fixed and they're fixing eShop really soon(unless it's already free then it's fixed and it stays free for 2 weeks). Blake is also free and Yang comes around June 19 if I remember correctly

Juan Hernandez Xbox 360 did receive the Persona Arena games and almost all BlazBlue games from previous generation. Maybe there was a public for this game on Xbox One, but they must know they are going to make enough money with Steam, PS4 and Switch already.
