The longest nastiest and most tiring days I’ve had were working on a maintenance crew at a light weight expanded shale/clay aggregate plant. When a kiln goes down 9 out of 10 times its about to be a long dirty day and night. If it’s really effed up that day and night won’t end until long after the next mornings lights. The things we’re willing to do for a dollar is mind blowing. Be safe out there y’all.✌🏻
Add an oil circulating pump. Tap the drain port, run oil through a filter and plumb it to spray oil on the top of the shaft. It reduces heat and friction.
The support Roller was installed keeping less bearing clearances, the issue was later resolved by replacing the bearing maintaining appropriate clearances and machining the Support Roller shaft as it had developed grooves.
It's the plant lightup condition un balances of kiln shell temperatures.First check the kiln shell ovality.and alignment take the supporting roller and bearing condition.changed oil from 680 to 1000 synthetic oil.if u required
The Support Roller bearing temperature was high more than 140 degrees, still plant was kept in operation, this resulted in less clearance between bearing & shaft, causing excessive friction due to less oil penetration and hence Support Roller was rotating intermittently.
Very nice 👍👌👌👍👍 working to steel kiln.

True, I agree with you
The bearing is already damaged, nothing will help for long! It should be replaced
When things get hot, they tend to seize up, especially sleeved rolling elements. Water cooled I take it?
Very nice . please give me information for mendrive
great video
Why supporting roller not rotating some time. Between supporting roller and tyre clearance also found good, may be journal bearing issues are there?
You are right, it’s coz of high journal bearing temperature
GlobeTrotter JAY sir
Make it oil circulation system, it will reduce oil temp and make it skew, why we can't try water path supporting roller

Bearing and nothing else using a bearing with good creep resistance properties will help possibly.
Sir this support roller has journal bearing...so no possibility of creep resistance
I wonder why the support roller was rotating intermittent

It's the whole drum rotating with the mechanical transmission of the rollers? Or the drum rotates with a chain transmisión around it?
This Rotary kiln has spur gear
Why's slipt ?
hi sit thank you
It's stop rotating because the drum ring is not riding already,I have a unique solution on this drawback. 2:08

Bearing damage
Trunions are not true to wheel. Improper load on bearing causing failure
worst condition of kiln , nobody take seriously , who is plant maintenance manager , has to be came at site and see the condition
