Cardona really is a true innovator and trail blazer; His Zack Ryder web series/show is the influence to many wrestler themed media today. Where is BTE without True Long Island Z? He is proof you CAN make money on the indies and be known. It IS a lot of work, but, you get what you put in. His GCW run and feud with Nick Gage was one of the most talked about things during the pandemic to now there are action figures coming out

After 30 years of fighting with a terminal illness I started to gain weight and when I realized I was also going to be living a full life the Eddie Kingston episode convinced me to try my hand at wrestling, if nothing else it would be a good workout. I fell in love with it quickly in a way I never expected but my mental health issues crept back in and I've been on hiatus from training since April. I started to get mad insecure, thinking I didn't deserve moments like shaking hands with Moxley only a couple months in, or sneaking past Swerve and Eddie when I helped catering backstage at AEW because it all felt too surreal too quick. I didn't feel like I earned my way around and that everyone knew I was an imposter or some kinda backstage groupie.
I've been doing better lately and have stayed in contact with my fellow students and coaches. I realize now I earned every opportunity I had because I busted my ass when my passion took over and pushed everything else in my life to the back seat for better or worse. I'm stoked to get back to training, people are excited to have me back soon, and this episode only helped to pump me back up. Thanks for the podcast fellas, it changed my life. 🤘
