also just discovered the podcast channel by looking for some of Swerves music to listen to. I had my time to shine musically in the underground in the mid 2000s an early 2010s as diverse hip hop artist mixing metal screams with a hip hop flow basically a nu metal style. I love hearing new music.
Holy sh*t, Wildin' Out been on 18 years. 😭 I remember watching in middle school. Affion made a good point about letting each generation of that show being able to shine and stepping back to letting it happen. He already made his name and he doesn't need to stay there.
Also BIG SHOUT OUT to Affion understanding that "alpha males and females" and these podcasts are for nothing more than sh*t takes cuz there is no real difference between genders. We're all people. 🙌🏾

I got the coolest Swerve Strickland story ever. I'm at this event in winston salem north carolina where I live called wrestlecade at one of the tables was Swerve but at the time everyone knew him as the masked wrestler Killshot from Lucha Underground well when I met him he was unmasked. But i knew by his voice who he was an his body build. I go on to introduce myself an tell him that a dream match of mine would be him vs Kofi. Swerve looks at me with a Smrek on his face an says I'll beat Kofi nonchalantly. I full on agreed with that lol Not because I was kissing his ass but that's the outcome I predicted due to the styles.
