This was a 10/10 interview. Hearing Ospreay and Swerve talk about the directions they want to take AEW and how there's a new wave coming got me hyped for wrestling like I haven't been in a long time.

41:55 as a Southeast Asian, I'm happy they actually acknowledged films like Raid Redemption and Raid 2. Those 2 are my favourite action movies of all time.

Yup. Think he's fell into the whole "oh, i can make a good living off of slating AEW/new generation of wrestling/wrestlers". I've been a fan since 91, and i watched late 90's WCW for the likes of Jericho, eddie, Rey, the Cruiserweights in general. Best thing bout TNA was AJ, Joe, Daniels, the X Division. So nowadays, the best wrestlers can do it all and it's way better because these types of wrestlers are main eventers. Wrestling has never been better imo so i don't have time for the old heads who bored me to death, especially when it's as silly as Ospreay needing to get in shape.
It's all good talking bout "psychology, selling, less is more" but that's silly too because the very best wrestlers now sell really well, have great psychology....and it's more compelling because they can go in the ring as well.
When you have Stone Cold talk about how good Omega is and Flair praise Ospreay like he has i find that a lot more realistic to what it is I'm enjoying so much having been a fan for so long.

Heard about this and immediately found the video. I love Swerve and Will and so this is was everything I wanted and more. Loved every second from their history as friends to the batman debate and Will getting excited about Spider-man and Assassin's Creed.
The future (and the present!) of AEW is in good hands with these guys. Congrats to Swerve on becoming AEW Champion too - just phenomenal.

I honestly want Swerve to go back to "Ain't Nobody". The Swerve dance is cool, but that song is his. It matches his aura more and I'm already tired of the dance, tbh.
Canada is sort of like the discussion of getting out there. Guys just sit in their city. Even if we don't go international, the guys who matter get out. I did a tour and self booked shows that went from BC to Quebec and then into the US on the way home. I gathered SO much experience across thousands of kilometers of travel against so many different guys in front of 25 and then 2500 and so many different talents giving you advice. Travel man. Get out, do your shit. That tour alone got me booked into Africa, Japan, everywhere.

A little advice to the new wc..you wanna make history with your title reign? Get your boss to to send you out on the road as a traveling wc like the new did back in the day..get off tv and only do the big shows..this would allow the lesser title holders .to get over on the th shows while you stay fresh with the crowd!
