Massive thanks for this tutorial and praise to OP for anyone who comes across this video. I picked up Trackmania 28 days ago now from the recommendation of a friend that I sim race with who shared the Deep Dip event. I started playing and Shallow Dip was released alongside the DD2 practice floors just a couple days in. I've been working since through training campaigns and other RPG/trial maps to learn the mechanics, ultimately all building up to complete Shallow Dip. I got to floor 4 just this past Saturday after finally getting confident with the slippery conditions on floor 3 and came across this tutorial while looking for some references to continue on. I was able to clear floor 4 within a day of playing confidently and was able to get through almost all of floor 5 on my first attempt until the precise booster uphill obstacle right at the end (2 jumps from finish) with full thanks to this tutorial. Ended up returning to the same jump a couple attempts later and was able to successfully finish Shallow Dip last night! This tutorial not only shows the run + inputs, but also has included text notes + tips from OP throughout to help guide you through different obstacles. In addition, OP even includes additional clips with many of these tips throughout the video that show alternate outcomes for certain jumps whether that be a different landing or an easy way a jump can be failed. Massive thanks again! Going to try again today for a ~15 minute run with all of the knowledge I have now. My first one was 41 minutes lol. clips.twitch.tv/DeterminedOptimisticWasabiRaccAttack-RlHdVW9DYDUqQnjj
I have 140 hours in this game and it looks like I'm struggling more than you are haha. Just finished the map too. I'll keep on trying to improve on floor 3 especially and then try to finsih the real shallow dip.
@@milanhin5024 One thing worth noting though is that I come from a background of years of sim racing on sims like AC, iRacing, etc on a wheel + pedal, and experience with using controller with games like Forza and stuff over the years. While there's still a range of mechanics and things to learn, I think part of the learning curve was removed from that experience.
Hello, just wanted to thank you for this video, I used several tips on F4 and F5 to help get my first competition, and eventually get a time I'm very happy with at 11:15 😁 128 hours and 3300 attempts on the map!
@@tmplay4k586 You mean Fall 2024? Like the current campaign? I would definitely like to see that! 😅 I'm not very fast yet since all of my time in the game has just been in Shallow Dip haha
@@TheCarPassionChannel No no Summer 25 because it is considered the hardest map of all official campaigns. I think that if you can beat AT in shallow dip you can get AT in all official maps
Thank you for the guide, it was very useful! I did miss the finish the first time I got up there, but finally made it after 18 hours.

@@Sheppardd oh yeah. I've seen that from a friend of mine as well. He doesn't very often play trackmania, but still beats my times xD

Glad it helped! Do you think a summer 2024 -25 "easy" way tutorial could be helpful?

thanks, very helpful ! it must have taken a while to record especially with the fails you show. Awesome work !
Glad it helped! Tbh once you complete the track once it become easier, so it took me less time filming the fall than completing it for the first time😅
Thanks for this. I am stuck on last jump of 2. Hopefully this helps
It's one of the hardest! Personally I failed more attempts going too high
