maybe a hobby isn't a hobby when your intention is to be the best or to constantly and efficiently improve without allowing yourself to just do it because you want to
Very good video. Well said. This is so true. We should enjoy something like a hobby, just for the joy of it. We have to do better to be happy than to be hustling.
I've been in the process of keeping my hobbies free of extrinsic rewards, and it has seriously helped improve my enjoyment of daily activities. even as I consider ways to share my art - posting my writing online, showing friends art I've made, constantly considered streaming video games that I play - I make damn sure that it's for me at the end of the day. I avoid making content as much as I can. I make things that I enjoy making, that I want to see in the world, and only once I've made something that brought me joy - THEN I can see if anyone else might enjoy it too! but that comes after everything else. and is completely devoid of monetary gain. this process works double time, because if other people don't like it, that's fine! cause you enjoyed it, and that's why you did it
Leisure is a forgotten activity and is tossed out the window in our world today because it is the opposite of everything our economy stands for
It’s sad that we forgot how to enjoy these things..

That sounds like a great approach!
You sound like the peerfect person for me... your my alt self ....
The side of me i wished was there... i will follow you then... right on here
Hobbies make me feel again, right until the depression takes them away again -.-
It’s sad that the things that can give us the most are the first things we neglect, when we’re feeling like shit. Wish it wasn’t so..
Same for me

Great gem of a video! Seriously good points that I think a lot of people, including myself, need to pay more attention to.

appreciate your comment, thanks for watching!
great video! I agree a lot with your points. Ironically, I'm glad the algorithm that feeds me content gave me this video lol
Haha thanks, that’s the beauty that the algorithm sometimes has. Still glad it didn’t play a big role in my childhood, though 😅
