The departures hall’s iconic wooden ceiling and large windows are Finnish design at its best. Helsinki Airport’s security control uses next-generation technology. There is no need to remove electronics and liquids from bags for scanning. Going through security control is quick and easy. A variety of new shops, restaurants, kiosks, cafes, lounges and much more have opened at the airport! Moomins, Marimekko, Balmuir, Iittala, Suomalainen Kirjakauppa, Alepa, R-kioski and many others are examples of popular Finnish brands. A food court will also open in the gate area in the early summer.
