this is literally the most brilliant little trick ever my jaw is on the floor hahha
Genius. Will never forget this
for PCSK9 inhibitors
Pesky (PCSK-9) muhammad ali (ALIrocumab) Evolved (EVOlocumab) boxing.
This also helps us remember the side effects because you have NEURO effects and soreness (mylagias) from boxing
ahhh,THANKS DUDE!
Thank you!
Dirty, you are that guy. Thank you for contributing to all of our success!! You are a great teacher and great person in general!
Dirty, you did it again. you really did do a better job teaching this than ANYONE else. and in the nick of time for my exam!
To remember the ↓ LDL exceptions, Fibrates and Niacin, I added this little mnemonic:
fibra↓Tes (↓ TG) and "Nancy is extra Hot!" (Niacin - ↑ HDL - flushing)
For remembering the majority decrease LDL, I remember "All the fatties drop it LOW LOW" (Lipidemia drugs ↓ LDL lol)
Dude, you're like a magical teacher that I go to when ever I stuck in a subject.
exam in 10 days, coming in clutch with this topic cause first aid had a lot going on with those visuals (same with sketchypharm), but you made this v easy to follow👍
Perfect time for my pharm test tomorrow. Thank you so much!
My exam is in 2 months and your videos are so essential during this period. You just simplify everything, especially pharma which is so hard to memorize. I watched your video on HIV drugs and I answered the UW questions like it was nothing. Now I guess the lipid lowering agents will be a piece of cake as well. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for your support 🇪🇸👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thank you so much! Will definitely support via membership once I start earning! THANK YOU
It’s a measure of how interesting your videos are when I’m watching them on my break after exams lol
Thank you so much! You have no idea how much anxiety this topic gave me before this video.
In portuguese they translated "Bile acid resins" to "Bile acid kidnappers" which is just 1000% better
might be your best video
Dirty medicine is by far my favorite learning tool. I have not purchased a text book in my FNP program yet. Thank you !!!
How’s school going? I’m in year two FNP. I love these videos.
Great video. I'm currently studying to be an FNP and your content gives such great overviews of different content areas.
really was the best explanation i ever heard thus far ! :)
Hi!!! Greetings from Brazil! I love your videos! They are incredibly objective and accurate! I just wanted to say thank you so so much and please keep it up! Also, just a small correction: estatins are actually competitive inhibitors and not alosteric inhibitors: they bind to the active site of the enzime HMG-CoA-redutase, taking the place of the substrate HMG-CoA, as opposed to binding to the allosteric site and inducing a conformational chance of the enzime that makes the binding of the substrate to the active site impossible.
thanks for the table at the end!
WOOOOOW thank you so much! much love from DR
Just what I needed. High-yield.
Thank you so much dirty medicine! Watching your videos makes me forget all the other resources Im using.

Thanks
you promised making it easier for us and you kept your promise. KUDOS😍😇
Not the nerdy academic career 😂 ! Great video
Thank you for the video! one thing to clarify...don't fibrates also increase HDL? via PPAR-a? the take-home points at the end only point out that niacin increases HDL, and that fibrates just reduce trigs
cant thank u enough
thank you
This guy is good
Could you please make a video on diuretics? Thank you
My exam is in June and I'm clenching my pearls rn
Same
Mine's in July. We got this!
Dirty is crazy man love this guy
Can you please upload a video about opthalmology (especially fundoscopic images )
No
From somalia you are one in billion
So thank y dr.
Thnk u so so much
hey just a question because you had said the Fibrates second pathway via PPAR a increases the HDL: which would mean that HDL would be increased for both Niacin and Fibrates how come you only put a decreased quantity of triglyceride in fibrates?
HDL would be increased by Niacin only.
You are theeeeee besssttt!
Thank you ^_^
Good
Thnk you🌟🌟🌟
salute to u
Thank you for your incredible generosity in the work you do! You are making the world a better place in a big way! Have you ever considered a life time membership option? I would love to support your work and my ongoing education for life. Dr. Been has the option of one time payment for unlimited access and I love the idea! ✌️ Liz Dean
Its the mnemonic juicelord himself
amazing, just wanted to mention that resins can increase TGs by increasing VLDL
Wow ! Really 😲
HOW?
WILL YOU MIND TO EXPLAIN IT
Thank you dirty ❤
You can use "NPCs wearing TIMs are at the IBorder" for the ezetimibe if you need a mnemonic
Thanks a lot dirty medicine🙏
Not being mean bro, but your voice soothes me to 😴 stay awesome
Please come and teach at our college
Cholestrol is not bad it's the oxidised lipids which are nd in presence of glycation..the combination results in CVD
Primates bring stones to the PPARt-ay 😂
DIRTY U FREAKING LEGEND
💯
Sketchy pharm is insane for this topic. It explains the physiology but its convoluted and difficult to remember bc of that. I'd say dont bother with it and use this with FA instead.
Do you have a source on the dementia adverse effect?
Bottom line seems to be that FDA was concerned enough about cognitive changes. Be it statistically significant or not, it is worth knowing about imo:

Note: PPAR-Gamma was mentioned in the insulin drugs "Bring Glitta to the party"...Glita was the drugs of TZDS and Party MoA
Love from Russia 🎉
commenting for the algorithm
Find the odd one out
1. Atorvastatin
2. Simvastatin
3. Nystatin
4. Rosuvastatin
Nystatin because it is antifungal and others are not
Based Dirtymedicine
What I think is that although you eat fibers so that you don’t get POOP STONES, FIBRATES make you stones 🧐
Where is Chromium?
No mention of gallstones with bile acid resins? Wtf dirty
statins = yuck.
thank you so much dirty
