    I pick orders in a warehouse and now you me feeling bad. Everything you spoke about we do 😢😢. I definitely make sure all my pallets are sturdy and wrapped tight. The pallets sideways is called pinwheel we do that to fit extra pallets on a shorter trailer. The original trailer might have had a issue. The Bananas on top probably was a short and the picker had to grab them later.tgat five on the bottom of six and seven was wild. The only thing i can think of is 5 was by itself and 6 and 7 was to big so they broke it down. But i feel bad and gonna try everyone to mindful of the drivers

    • @TayTheLocalTrucker
      @TayTheLocalTrucker  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey man thanks for the feedback and honest breakdown on how things are being done in the warehouse. I can honestly say that a lot of drivers assume the worst about the warehouse when we get a terrible load and ridiculously built pallets. We think a lot of it is done on purpose yet hope there isn’t any malicious intent. Although some drivers just complain about everything, there are some legitimate gripes. Thanks again bro 🫡

    One of my main issues is....they dont put enough accountability on the warehouse/loaders the drivers gotta work miracles

    • @kodeezieproductions
      @kodeezieproductions 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @koolshep• that was my MAIN!!! reason for leaving US Foods after 2yrs. Our DC in Knoxville, TN was THEE worst at holding the warehouse accountable for screwing up the trailers.
      On multiple occasions, drivers had to down-stack a whole damn pallet in search for a block of cheese the customer "really needed" 🤨
      They only cared about loading the trailer and sending it off with the relay drivers.
      That's the main reason why I went to Gordon Food Service for 5yrs; the product is floor loaded. There was only a 2% chance you'll have to dig for cases; because the heavy product MUST be on the bottom or it's a chemical product that's off to the side with the rest of the chemicals.

    The truth is there is so much of a high turnover rate by the time one guy gets really good in the warehouse somebody else is quitting. This means this experience guy is going to be there longer helping out ultimately making this person worn out. Eventually this person will quit or stop caring as much as they used to about their work performance. There is a lot of pressure on the warehouse workers in regards to having to meet to certain numbers. You are in a warehouse all night going from cold to room temperature lifting heavy to light getting on and off your machine being mindful not to hit someone or get hit etc they hire a certain amount of people which complicates things and there should always be a helper with the truck. There will always be a need for someone needing a job and a place that doesn't require experience in regards to the warehouse is easy to hire.

    • @TayTheLocalTrucker
      @TayTheLocalTrucker  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You are correct for sure. I use to work for Food Lion Distribution and the pressure on the personnel in the warehouse is astounding and the turnover rate is just as high with them as it is for drivers. I think there is an overall lack of management and leadership in these warehouses. There are way too many guys above our pay grade who don’t “work” as if they actually care about their people as much as they do the job that is suppose to be done
