So… this is the first time I've seen what a Blue Mage can really do in commander. A Mono Blue Mage. Like I started watching this show first with the episode with Rarran and then I jumped back to episode 100 since that is recent-ish, and this is all the Magic I've really watched play out other than a few games here on CGB's channel and what some other kids were doing in Kamegawa format back in middle school. This is unbelievable. One spell drew 15 cards! CGB created an infinite Shark Typhoon-Archaeomancer-Time Warp combo. Wow. This was great. I should be asleep right now but I couldn't stop watching at any point here.
Despite how dominant the ending was, each deck did impressive things I didn't imagine them capable of when the commander cards were previewed! I love this group so much lol, it'd be so much fun to hang out
So I'm 48. Been playing Magic since the Gen Con it was released. From Alpha all the way up through just after Invasion block we played at our local Putt Putt party room every single night. Get out of school, head to Putt Putt play Magic till 1:00 am. Wake up do it all over again. Literally the best times of my life. I don't like commander format personally but I love watching these episodes because it literally takes me back to the happiest time of my life. Not a worry in the world, Magic and old school arcade games were our lives. Some of the best people and friends I've ever known were gamers and my currently closest friends are those same gamers. For all you younger games. Love it while it lasts. Make it last as long as you can. Eventually everyone got older and got tied up with their own lives and families.
Yo man, sweet story you got there but it doesn’t have to be the happiest time, you have plenty of happiest times to come! Go play Magic in the retirement home!
I typically never comment on videos, but I've gotta say, this was easily one of the greatest, funniest commander episodes I've ever watched. I was literally howling with laughter at Blake's face when he lost his board and then was made into a monkey token 🤣. Then the "uuhh daaaaaamn" for the academy manufactor just killed what little air I had left in my lungs. Truly amazing stuff guys, can't wait for the next episode!
I'm a new viewer and am working my way back through the WPCS episodes. And so far this is one of my favorite. It's very entertaining watching someone pull out a ridiculous combo from out of nowhere. The first one in this game was Blake replaying his entire board with crazy land-drop and mana generation shenanigans (while creating 31 copies). That turn was beautiful. And then CGB just rapidly becoming the enemy of the table from a single 12 mana drain. And then him being a true blue oppressor by still surviving despite being clearly the enemy of the table. I definitely can empathize with being the person at the table who just has to sit there playing slow/fair while someone (or in this case, multiple people) are popping off a crazy combo. But it definitely creates memorable games.
When they introduced the decks I thought, "Surely they team up and kill CGB right away. He's playing hard blue value control. Surely they know he has to die first."
Easily my favourite game watched. Everyone having a good time and the plays were incredible. Love that everyone in this crew legitimately is just there for the fun. Stay awesome everyone!
*spoilers from episode* man eluge is powerful. After a couple turns, especially if you have bounce spells, eluge essentially becomes an omniscience in the command zone. Insanely strong control potential, plus having insane combo potential. I would consider building it, but man I don’t think I could do that to my friends lol
@@FluffySpikeM And I actually want to point out that it's a dragon from their brood, certainly, but we've had no confirmation on whether it was Kolaghan themselves. Nerd holes like these go on forever, I'm afraid. We will never be done.
Ever since Flubs was previewed, I've wanted to see Blake play a Flubs deck. Too bad it got set back a few times, but it looked great! I hope he will play it again on another episode.
Fun fact, the dragon hawk is a calamity beast, but it's not one native to this plane. It's a dragon that got "animalized" like the planeswalkers who planeswalked on Bloomburrow. We don't know where it's from yet, so I guess we'll find out eventually
I was so excited to see what Flubs or Ygra would do and just overshadowed by blue. I honestly hate watching mono blue decks, nothing against you CGB just a preference.
I want to tune into one of these episodes of WPC, one day, and see someone playing Anikthea or another enchantment-focused commander, telling everyone else about how they can permanently remove all commanders in play from the game by using Out of Time with a "enchantments are creatures" card like Opalescence or Starfield of Nyx (or Anikthea, herself, or various other cards that have enchantments enter as creatures)
can anyone tell me what ygra would have been if the heroic intervention worked, im building the deck right now and was drooling irl at the thought of it getting those counters lmao. fantastic episode
I’d like to get a ruling on casting that three steps ahead for free utilizing djinn and eluge cost reduction ability. I believe three steps ahead cost one blue, and the spree are additional costs such as a “kicker” and thus not discounted by eluge or djinn. Could be wrong, I don’t know, but I feel that was played wrong. Curious to see the ruling on that.
Kinda bored by seeing the same cards played by CGB. Wouldn't mind seeing him play more different styles as he's the most experienced player at the table every game.
I've seen two games with eluge now... and I have to say... gross XD ...if I should ever play against that thing it's dead on arrival. the mana reduction on every turn is just too much.
I get the competition stuff, but its a lot less fun to watch one player just do stuff and 3 others just watch. I prefer the games where everyones doing something silly, but thats just me.

This game is why that table is bolted to the floor
Love the targeting Ygra to 'save' Flubs - such a fun and messy turn.

48:59 "The CGB Horror Picture Show: Let's Do The Time Warp Again"
oh the irony... the worst possible commander show is the best possible commander show. good group chemistry. fun to watch! thanks guys!

49:20 Ben's face says it all. What a finish.
When I grow up I want to be like Blake. Good deck building and all the good puns xD including the blooper in the end
When they introduced the decks I thought, "Surely they team up and kill CGB right away. He's playing hard blue value control. Surely they know he has to die first."
They tried to be fair
@@mcbescheiden725 not really
All timer episode! Holy shit. Keeps on getting better wl this group. Never change the format. This was hilarious 😂😂
22:40 Ben’s “DAAAAAAAYUMMMM” fucking destroyed me, jesus 😂
18:51 Ben: I don't like cost reduction. Also Ben, seconds earlier: Let me just cast 24 mana worth of spells for free real quick
Hey now, it cost him a swamp... And a mountain. ;)
You guys have to be the best crew playing commander on TH-cam love you guys!!
Easily my favourite game watched. Everyone having a good time and the plays were incredible. Love that everyone in this crew legitimately is just there for the fun. Stay awesome everyone!
You guys are quickly becoming my favorite commander show! keep it up!

There was an attempt to play fair commander magic. The attempt failed.
I don't think anyone was attempting to play fair magic with those commanders.
Strong commanders all around but nothing can be stronger than the color blue
What is fair commander?
I like Shea's shirt! I saw those for sale when I went on vacation in Iceland recently
Amazing game! Thank you! ❤ We definitely need brawl videos with Cruelclaw, Ygra and Eluge also!!!!
I'm such a nerd. Less than 2 min in, and I already want to go "Um actually, the dragonhawk isn't a calamity beast".
It’s Kologan in bird form, right?
@@schumerus6786 He's KolAgan. Nerd up.
@@FluffySpikeM
Its Kolaghan with an h actually.
@@proface5209 I'm glad we figured that out in three iterations. Thank you for your service.

Nerd holes like these go on forever, I'm afraid. We will never be done.
the crew vibe is amazing but this blue deck felt like cgb playing solo
Banter was kicked up a notch this Game, great stuff!
The energy in this episode was wild. Loved it.
"How many counterspells do you want in your deck?"
CGB: "Yes."
When Ben cast Cruelclaw from his hand I screamed “attack the blue player!” Idk why they didn’t end the blue player 😂
I love Ygra, Eater of All. It really was the top Commander from Bloomburrow for me personally.
Mana Drain has no business still being legal. I've never seen anyone play it and not essentially win immediately.
I think it’d be hilarious at 25:25 to target the flubs player with Blue Suns and just entirely throw of his next turn
Ben is always hype. I feel like he pulls some shenanigans in off camera games
And thus Evil was well described in this title. That deck!!
This is why I think Eluge is a serious problem now! GG
This game has the kind of CGB filth we love.
Man, Eludge is such a HOUSE of a commander. Im gonna need to build this monstrosity
Well... that was a lot of sharks a lot of cards and a lot of turns
Ever since Flubs was previewed, I've wanted to see Blake play a Flubs deck. Too bad it got set back a few times, but it looked great! I hope he will play it again on another episode.
oh he will be back... flubs is actually my dad so
@@BlakeMTG That's great to hear. Looking forward to some more quality father-son time.
All of my removal spells are going Eluge's way if I see that disgusting thing.
There was some good threat-assessment in this game. The threat in this particular case, CGB is playing mono-blue.
As soon as a prize was involved, cgb smelled blood in the water.
I see what you did there.
Chumming it up with his friends
@@iowacub1 I sea what you did there
imagining turning all counter spells into fierce guardianship can tap out on his turn and still have a free counterspell up insanity
That was messed up lmao. What a game! Very fun watch.
More accurate title: 52 minutes and 45 seconds of CGB playing with himself
Yeah, that doesn't sound right 😂
Mono blue solitaire for the win I guess
Fun fact, the dragon hawk is a calamity beast, but it's not one native to this plane. It's a dragon that got "animalized" like the planeswalkers who planeswalked on Bloomburrow. We don't know where it's from yet, so I guess we'll find out eventually

I love how this game was won. Love me a good combo. (all I can comment without spoiling)
He really did go blue
Lunch Money is such a fun game. Nice Easter egg
Glad to see eluge getting love, wanting to see a brawl video soon! I immediately made an eluge deck as soon as I got my hands on bloomburrow
The Spike Feeders had a good Eluge game if you haven't seen it yet.
Gee, looks like soooo much fun.
Blake cracks his knuckles and says player removal is the best removal.

That blooper at the end 😂
Great game guys.
Still want the old outro back, but Im loving your content regardless
Kind of wanted Ben to take control of Flubs since you need a very particular shell to handle him.
I miss seeing everyone's worst card of the game
Blake why didn’t you find a matching tunic to your boy Flubs? You would’ve been spectacular!
This game was insane.
can anyone tell me what ygra would have been if the heroic intervention worked, im building the deck right now and was drooling irl at the thought of it getting those counters lmao. fantastic episode
"I always thought Hatsune Miku was a snacc." Lmao, I'm dying!
i feel like cgb targeting emrakul with mana drain at 19:48 was worse for Blake :)
The "I know 😲" 😂🤣
Can we check sleeves for Heroic Interventions and Terferi's protections every game from now on!?! XD
great game!
everyone who sits down at a table with you without red elemental blast and pyroblast is failing
The zoom on Blake's face lmfao
Team Ben!
6:48 Yep, that's an upvote.
Lmao @ the outro 🤣 🤪 😂
2nd main Ben.
Oh yeah. That was my combat. Lol
Blue Mage going to Blue Mage all the way to Value Town if you let them. Passionate Archeologist almost got him though.
15:10 I’m guessing that he “saw it coming”
World fire woohoo!! 🥳
Wait, CGB could have let the Heroic Intervention resolve and then copy the board wipe, right?
Disgusting mono blue commander. I love it.
Feel bad for Shae.. Ygra did nothing :(

Spree reads “as an additional cost, pay the costs associated with those modes” so much like an x spell the cost reduction applies
that foretell is 10000% "Saw It Coming" because literally two seconds later CGB says "see if you can see this coming"
I know I've said this before, but I absolutely adore Ben. He brings a lot to the show! :)
Simple man I see flubs I click video 🤣🤣
26:45. Now Blake has to eat his shoe.
Maaan Blake wet the bed with that pongify. He needed to cast it on flubs instead of ygra. Game was over after that...
"did he fuck you?" best ending to a video ever.
Blake should practice casting his violence rather than committing it 🤭
I actually paused the video, went online and bought the box 😅
Cgb still should have gotten a beast from beast within right?
Man.... imagine having rottenmouth viper as a legendary.
oh look is mesa falcon guy
Nice

Cgb in his blue heaven
15:38 its extra turn spell?
I clicked on the video because I saw flubs 😂
What a swingy game, this is why you always kill the mono blue player
Please replace Time Warp with Temporal Manipulation so it can't be stolen via a DSwat and the likes.
21:00 because flubs was sac'd as a cost, shouldnt he have not triggered?
Damn you blue player!!!
I get the competition stuff, but its a lot less fun to watch one player just do stuff and 3 others just watch. I prefer the games where everyones doing something silly, but thats just me.
