  • On May 21st, this isolated cumulonimbus cloud formed out of clear air on a hot summer afternoon. No supercell or anything special, just beautiful nature. Location: Near Tübingen, SW Germany.

What a beauty! Terrific take of the formation of a textbook example cumulonimbus cloud.

Amazing footage! Could you please let me known what timeframe interval you were using for the Timelapse?
I’m interested how quickly the clouds develop and what the total real-time is for e.g the first 2 minutes of the video? Thanks!

Sorry, I totally forgot to reply. Back then, I did not have a very advanced camera, so the only possibility was to film that storm and then speed it up. The original footage for the first 2-minute part of the video was 35 minutes long, so that's how long everything took.

I like the music. Storm had good form, too bad they seeded it.. wow, it really is happening everywhere now. So sad to see storms struggle :(

It’s probably a good thing, they can develop into supercells in the right conditions and cause tornadoes.

@@TatsugiriTheFeesh I'd rather have natural tornadoes than the coming scarcity of water extinguishing thunderstorms will cause.
