  • This supercell was the most amazing storm I have ever seen with stacks on stacks of striations and insane motion. Storm structure doesn't get any better than this and this was easily a top 3 storm chase for me. 5/27/19

    Damn that's a beautiful looking storm 👍
For me, personally, the structures of these supercells are more fascinating than the potential tornadoes they often spawn.
We don't get stuff like this here in the UK.

Thank you! I'll take a supercell over a weak tornado any day!

Here in Australia we're also known for weather extremes but this is on another scale. I'm finding the video hypnotic but still concerned about everybody. Stay safe all.

Australia has been known for some gorgeous storms though.

Everything is extreme in Australia and I guess that's why everyone's tough and accustomed to the stinging, biting , venomous, man eating, hot , on fire , extreme weather, and arid environment, animals and insects there.
Thanks to all that supported US troops from down under over the years.
That's a hundred dollar supercell for sure. Awesome.

That storm structure is far more amazing than any tornado it may have spawned !

3:08 when I was a kid I did not figured that the anvil cloud was the same cumulonimbus that the lowest part. I thought that two obscures cloud were superposing and fighting each other creating lighting.

Striations mean the a supercell is starting to weaken. Striations are caused by stratification of the boundary layer as it cools later in the afternoon.
