Why are SRB2 sprites green?

Frequently, when making sprites that are SRB2 related, there's someone confused as to why the sprites are entirely green. So I figured I'd make a short video explaining why this is so common.

That aside, it's true because think of it as a green screen. You can put anything in it. It's the same here but with colors instead of backgrounds

Hey good video Roach! Also yes, I do get it that it's for simplicity sake and that there are multiple options if characters naturally use said colors in their default pallet. Plus it is running on Doom which already runs on the same rules so it makes sense that the player sprites go on the same rules.

I figured Doomguy's armor was the cause of this. Its easier to change sprite colors once every sprite has been created.

i always assumed it'd be the same as mm8bdm's acs system for colors, where it just overides the two shades of blue and sometimes the outline for alts and charges
