Another thing for Flame that has been patched out, she used to have a higher jump than Amy's that was in active spin, making her hell to catch on certain maps. As for the stunlock, just don't get stunlocked :)
Sonic can be great, but since he’s the only character in srb2 history with zero verticality beyond jumping, he’s basically useless in navigation in a lot of maps or against any character with fast vertical movement options.

I love battlemod its fun but hard to master and it gives srb2 a smash type competitive scene which i find to be pretty nice although it has its flaws I still enjoy it.
its been a while but i am not sure about fang being bad for 1v1 and the clip doesn't convince me. fang was designed to stay mobile while attacking, you need to be jump cancelling your ground shot so that you can continue to kite your opponent. because of the cork's small hitbox and slow speed you need to be well positioned and well timed so that your opponent can't dodge the shot. to that end he is a more reactive and terrain dependent character but i believe he goes even w/ most spin characters. fang is an unconventional character so i don't think a lot of people have developed their playstyle around him as well as they could.
This mod is cool, but it feels like what most arena fighters would be if you removed most of what keeps arena fighters balanced and used 2d fighting game design philosophy instead, it just doesn't work very well in a 3d space without some major changes.
These are all true… don’t also forget that Tails Swipe stays even after getting parried meaning you can still get hit with it anyways! But honestly Sonic and Marine need changes BADLY same with Fang the spammer
blame battlemod devs for trying to make a non-fighting game a fighting game also, knuckles used to have actually good design as he had a passive that let him block low priority attacks, allowing him to punish unsafe approach options *_LIKE THOK_*
