Just picked these skates up getting back into the game after over a decade. Your review at Decathlon spurred me to get them. Great channel too! Love your aggressive skating style.
Helloooooo, thanks!! I bought these skates after watching your review and they are great!! I was in two minds because I didn’t know anything about them. Channel is great and I have subscribed, all I need now is to learn some of your crazy moves, haha!!
Nice 3-part reviews and helpful, thru extensive use from an experienced. With short trial after 40s, I really started late after 50s and fell a few times (some hard), I told myself to hang on until maybe 60s. Not picking my first 80mm skates from Oxelo was missing because one blade now was bendable after long use, another was totally alright maybe about manufacturing defect (soft shell, lighter, more gliding, lower but not frame changable)! In the near future I think I still need another sturdier while not too tech for a few more years. As you pointed out usefully, upgrading and changing parts were easy and the boots held up well. I inline-skated partly as a substitute for other more strenuous sports. I found skating was indeed a quite suitable activity among middle-aged, in certain way. Inline skating was not unusual here but tending enclosed within a set range of smooth area. Your road surface appeared satisfactory for 80mm wheels. (Thanks again as your positive review enhanced my considering another gears such as SUP/kayak/tent from Decathlon.) Your skating style was really pumping up cardio-vascular, cheers.
Hey, thanks for your comment! 😁 I think skating is something that can be done for the long term as the intensity can be varied and it is generally low impact. As for the MF500 skates; I think they are a great overall choice due to the pros I referred to in the in-depth review. They’re affordable, versatile, and they’ll last. 👍
Interesting how the top companies push the envelope with developing high end products and over time they become old tech. Some factories in China have the moulds for some of the older basic products which become open moulds. There are a lot of budget options with this plastic shell boot that looks like a Rollerblade Twister or some sort of FR variation and they can be great entry level options for people wanting to get into skating. Thanks for highlighting these!
I do get pressure points on the inside of both ankles just at the top of the joint; I personally don’t find this too bad but it is there. Certainly nothing that would stop me wearing them. I’ll be posting a proper review for these this year.
These are pretty standard, tbh, hard shell boot, 243mm frame, 4x80mm wheels; most brands do a skate like this which, I imagine, would be just as good if not better; the benefit here, however, is the price.
@@RichHayterSkater Hey! I've never bought skates before and i was wondering if it was necessary to take 1 size bigger than shoes? Example i size 11 for shoes, is it necessary to take 12 for skates ? Or 11 is enough ? Thanks!
Personally I ordered my regular shoe size, but it’s worth just checking their website to see what they recommend as some do advise you to up your sizing. There is usually a size guide with foot measurements so be sure and double check.
I’ve never used an actual break so I can’t comment. My thought is that this would just get in the way. There are many great ways to stop on your skates. Check out my Power Stop tutorial! 👇 m.th-cam.com/video/nux7upOtMRs/w-d-xo.htmlh0m12s
This footage is amazing and very satisfying to watch. Sadly decatlhon stores are closed in germany because of the lockdown and they are sold out online. They are probably to slim for my big feet anyway. :(
Have patience! The stores will open, you will go and try the skates, they will fit, you will love them, you will wear them lots and have a blast skating. The Universe has decreed it! You will see...
@@RichHayterSkater After the restock of around 2 pair per size in White/Red today, color blue/white is available now aswell. Finally! I just ordered them and am very hyped. That is indeed a sign of a higher force!
@@RichHayterSkater love the feeling of them but they just wont fit right. 42 is too small and 43 seems to be too large. Any suggestions? Already wearing thicker skate socks.

That’s Awesome! I’m so glad this helped you, and thanks for the sub!🙏 I am sure you will enjoy them, they are a quality skate. Have fun with them!👌
Great final part to this series. They look good valur for the money.
All the best.
Take care
Thanks klisher, they sure are!

Great flow, and you made some good points about our responsibilities as skaters. Love your energy too. Inspires me to lose the Covid spare tyre 😉
Do it!👍 Skating gives me a genuine buzz, makes me wanna fly! I forget I’m even exercising at times. Thanks for your comment.
@@RichHayterSkater Same mate. Had great sesh yesterday, still buzzing today 🐝😜
Yeah!👊

Thanks, Dude. I think it’s a win win. It hopefully encourages more people to try skating who will inevitably want to buy branded skates at some point.
Thanks for the video! What is the difference between mf 500 and fit500?
The FIT seems to be a soft shell, the MF500 is a hard shell boot.
Hi, Are they comfortable to wear and ride?

@@RichHayterSkater thank you so much👌
@@RichHayterSkater already thought of that.. But nothing you cant fix with a bit of tape.
@@RichHayterSkater do you think you could heat mold these to get out the pressure points?
Unsure. When I get some spare time I plan to investigate this.
can't find these anywhere here in the u.s.!
They don’t seem to be listed on Decathlon’s US site. You could try contacting them?
@@RichHayterSkater do you know what is equivalent to those skates?

Nice flow. Keep testing them. They should have some flaws.
Thanks Dude. They do, they’re not the lightest skates, and they have 2 part axle pins - they’re not good. But £70 is a great price for them.
@@RichHayterSkater You are making them look good :)
Hey thanks!🙏
So they are not good? O. O i kinda want them
They are very good skates, just the axel bolts are not so good. They are still a great purchase!👍
how do you find the size on these are they true to size?
Yes, I ordered my regular size.

do you recommend getting a break pad thing on one of the skates to stop? or prefer to not use one

Hi hun, can you use any skates with the sebe skate backpack. I used twister edge skates ? Many thanks
Yes, I've used Sebas and I also carried these Oxelos on a recent trip to Edinburgh. It's a great bag.
