A guy cracked up when you were using your webber tuning bits to make the terminal connectors fit. got me real good. Cheers for another top notch episode, full of healthy banter and brilliant camera work. keep it up guys, love every upload. Perfect thing to watch after a long week working in the rain and catching up on work that couldn't be done due to the 400ml of wet stuff.
Scott definitely googled the definition of Insulation 21:10 XD then stayed up all night going over in his mind how many cars he's used fleece tape to insulate wires in HAHA :P
The HJ-HZ Holden nosecone is an American style because Holden decided to go Cadillac with the HJ Holdens styling. I would've kept the HQ Holden front nose cone & 1/4 panels as well as the HQ Holden Instrument cluster because I didn't like the direction Holden went with the HJ onwards Holdens. It's like I asked what the hell did Holden do with the ergonomics of the VF Commodore after the VE model ?
Physical separation works for low voltage stuff. Just don't try to Mega test it. Edit. Just saw someone else in the comments has Mega tested it to 500v and it passed.
@@Ben-in6qh Ok, If you want, hold this and this and tell me when you're ready.. Trust me, I'm a panelbeater with a Mega tester.. Edit; Do not do that. Megger meters can kill.
I used the 6ah FlexVolt on a 20volt 1/2 impact gun for 12 hours straight on a single charge. They’re worth the money but drop them once and the casing explodes in to pieces. Already emailed dewalt about selling a nerf case or like an otter box style case for the flex volt line. Even if it’s $50, I’d buy it.
For the Tesa tape, aside from insulation, I think most were trying to point out was that it is the wrong type to use near heat. They make one that handles higher heat temps, but I've used the tape in this vid and it works just fine under the hood.
Sorry i'm late , you can start now :) I'll be at Qscan in Cleveland on Wed for an epidural , can i get a lift back to Redland Bay Marina around midday ? thx
Always cool to see these guys’s blasé approach to their work. Honestly I think its a sign on confidence, they just get it done. 😁🤘🏻💪🏻. With regards to the John Deere hydro fluid can someone please help me out with some info. Hoff spoke about it in an earlier episode and how good it is. Is it “hy gard” I want to try and tighten up my slush box a bit.
When will you guys have merch in stock that actually fits guys YOUR size ?. Or are you trying to tell me to loose weight until I fit the only available size of small. I love watching this channel and want to support it.
HQ? I'm yet to be convinced about that. I'm no expert though. Chris, how would you like an as new, period correct sunroof with a gold eagle on it for this ute? Cool cool, thought not lol. cheers.
All these comments and not a single comment about the bend in the middle of the front sway bar, sorry industry standard jacking point. ;) P.S. ex sparky here, the current fluffy tape is fine on 12v, the old style tape (30+years ago) absorbs oil and grease like it's being sold on one of those 3am super absorbent towel commercials though, it's the electrical equivalent of a sham-wow.
MCM seem so bored these days too, it all seems fake to me. Sometimes the idea of working on a nugget is much better than the reality, you never get that time back that you waste on terrible cars that you'll never drive and end up selling
@@ESPSJ Yeah, definitely a lack of passion. I don't mind nuggets, but I do mind prepubescent crap like ball kicking and making long winded jokes about putting things through holes. Sigh!
errr moi gaud.... it took like for 3 days to drill though that terminal endy thingy whatsit!!!!! You need to buy this thingy from the Utubey doohicky, to fix all the troubles with your you tubey channel!!! lol..... Good work my bruddahs from anudda muddah!
I put some fuel in my race car today that I found lying around that I suspected was 98 and now it won't run. It didn't smell like diesel and it wasn't ethanol. Don't know what it was!
Ethel your editing skills are getting top notch, I really believed that ring terminal was 20 mil thick!👍🤣🤣🤣
Same, I was thinking they must be some quality terminals you don't get shit like that in the UK 🤣
We barely noticed the cuts lol

The rain in the back round and your soothing voices was very relaxing 😎 huge fan from Brisbane 👍🏻🇦🇺👌
Top video as always lads. How you guys don't have a ton more subscribers is beyond me.
LMAO someone send these guys some NEW "industry standard" drill bits!!!
Insulation..."you still on about that" 😂
I really like your dry comedy moments the video loops- very very hilarious 😂
That guy is off the couch.... then second guessing being a chat board hero next time! You guys are hilarious 🤣🤣🤣
The battery terminals are forged brass, made in New Zealand
Sure are! Only the best.
probably my favourite you tube channel right now... love the banter going on between you guys and the skidfactory
Mate use a step drill when drilling out things like cable lugs, heaps less grabbie and spinnie. Especially p-clamps

looks like a healthy 2 stroke 1UZ you have there
Fast becoming my favourite show. Great stuff as always gents

I hear 308's bolt straight into those things.
LETS GO!!!! I wish these came out more than once a week !!
That’s what she said.
Yeah man I agree twice a week would be awesome
What's more Aussie than a couple of blokes working on a Holden ute and taking the piss out of each other 👍

@@Ben-in6qh that was my thought as well.... wouldnt the cloth absorb/wick water and then conduct pretty well?
"I hope it works, cuz i've done it a lot. Like *A LOT* " hahahahahahahahahahahaha I know that feeling
“Been driving long mate ?” 🤦♀️ You’re a phuny clucker Hoff ...🤣
Ring terminal bit is on point. You guys are great.

I like the skin-colored vise you used when drilling out that battery terminal.
I got two of them myself.
what's the go with the FD always in the background? Give us an ep on the rotor!
Great project. Shame someone swapped the front end for a hj/hx/hz instead of the original hq. Love all your videos, best on TH-cam.
The comedy between these two fellas is bloody funny as sh*t
I came here for the loop. I was not disappointed!!
Viewer engagement at maximum, H series + bogan +disgruntled genius = comedy gold.

I love how when you say wow in Australian it has an a in it somewhere
the best nugget mobile, friggin love it !!!!!
i love this channel guys. how many more times can you fit WOW into an episode?
WOW
WEW
Holy shit it made some noise. That thing is gonna be a neat lil sleeper looking forward to the content
Just proper making me laugh about the tape good banter guys keep it up cheers
Thanks lads, I was hanging out for this one and you didn’t disappoint.
The channel I look forward to all week..... sad I know....Keep it up boys love it!
oh god take off holden badge on the back
Did you try to wet the tape, before testing..?
Superb, Lads I needed a Good Laugh
I love the banter guys, keep it going!
If the fleece tape gets wet it can conduct.
Sounds like someone been watching motion auto tv with trevor LoL 😂 rag in the I
Cooler
Maybe Scott wants to make a comparo vid for tapes, comparing properties before and after heat and oil cycles, etc.😉👌
Great episode 👍. Scott had all the one liners 😂👍
This should be a nice cruiser with a bit of pep to it.

Let the fleece tape gate saga continue, I think Scott should do further experiments with other tapes to annoy the keyboard electrical experts 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Fuck is that the bluntness drill bit ever. Haha
Whats the deal with the FD on the lift??? Can we see that run and drive plzzzzzzzzz??
Awesome video as always. My car is running like crap at the moment. I'm hoping it either the leads or coil pack. And hopefully not the head gasket
To test the tape you should try and weld through it, see if you car strike an arc through it
Love it. Look forward to the weekly banter fix
why is it when the headlights arent in old holdens they look like theyve been off the road for 30 years
Fleece tape is bot for insulating as its porous . Ideally you should use self amalgamating then coat with pvc .
Bloody funny and a great build. A tie up with VGG would be cool ;-)
Love the banter!!!! Glad ya put the trolls in their place.bloody pisser guys love ya work!!
I was about to say you need a set of drill bits, but then you got me.
Funny buggers.
Did Dave get to that drill bit first?
Hooooh hooo, nice lighting guys...beauty...
You’ll probably need that clutch leg for truckie stuff I reckon Chris, but spose Scott could probably fix it back on with that fancy tape
Sorry for spamming, but that UTE looks suspiciously like an El Camino?
Is that the Aussie equivalent version?
Yes a 70's GM Holden ute or utility pickup..
Good for making rmmm rmmm and boosty noises but you cant get stroker cranks for them or aftermarket heads that flow the moon
When will you guys have merch in stock that actually fits guys YOUR size ?. Or are you trying to tell me to loose weight until I fit the only available size of small. I love watching this channel and want to support it.
Was that a real boost rag at the end or was that just for giggles
Drilling the battery terminals, tinnitus went into overdrive. Friday arvo Nugget, thanks for the laughs.
why does it have a Kingswood (poverty spec) badge on a clearly Monaro or SS (not pov pack) front 'guard?. I know about Belmonts (below pov)
I LOL'd way too hard at the "You going to be ok?" after the insulation tape rant. 😂
Oh my😂😂👌
Lol @ drilling the battery 😂😂😂👌
yeah my freaking ears (lol)
The vid,,,so clear now, ace hoof, Chris, bro, would have thought of that before aye bro...
HQ? I'm yet to be convinced about that. I'm no expert though.
Chris, how would you like an as new, period correct sunroof with a gold eagle on it for this ute? Cool cool, thought not lol. cheers.
You might as well fit the sunroof. All purity is lost now. It doesn't owe me much. cheers.
Last time I was this late, I was still charged for my appointment slot. Even now I'm salty about it.
haven't used this tape yet but what if it gets a bit wet?
Just use a rag to stop the leaks guys, ask Chris for details!! Great stuff once more.
Happy Friday boys🍻
Perfect, as usual👍
Inquiring minds an all that what’s the light blue car on the lift in the background?
Love the loop 👍
I used to feel bad for drilling out battery terminal crimps until you guys have shown me it is industry standard! hahaha
Ooh bro John deer are you getting into deseil like al now....hope it will skid da factory, hahaha bro...
Why didn't you crank it for longer and get that 'manky looking' oil flush out of the lines before sending it through your turbo?

I must admit... this a much better finishing “someone’s unfinished project” build than the MCM piece of shit lol...
Whats not to like about bolting crv calipers on an civic and boxes of bolt on parts?

Ooooh ace bro, good old toyota you done it again....choice bro
The issue with the tape is maybe that over time the adhesive becomes more conductive?
I got a 79 holden ute, manual, so that car not getting on the lift was hurting my soul xD
damn untuned auto's man.
Here for the cars stayed for the comedy
Don't forget a new front sway bar to replace the BENT one. haha Seeya Rob
love the torn knuckles

I've never had an issue insulating with fleece. Only problem is when you need to unwrap stuff and it keeps tearing...
Those battery terminals are made of some pretty tough stuff . lol
So much epic banter in one episode!
Sad ending tho, what will happen next?
I can't believe people don't recognise Chris from his days in the Bolshoi ballet.....
International Industry Standards are over rated 👌 ... funny videos....
