Hi sir can u tell me what are the requirments for aplying to ships..?, im also a chef so im asking and my head chef is from india
You have to do the gp rating and stcw courses.. Then get a COC as chief cook

Because i am also working in this department from last 8. To 9 years..
And i have also more then 4 Year working experience in aboard .
You have to do GP rating course and then get cdc and then apply in companies

sir please recommend some trusted Manning agency which recruits for cook jobs on cargo ship. do they require any madatory training apart from stcw courses. I have worked on cruise ship galley so I don't have a idea of a cargo ship . please give some information regarding mandatory courses and joinning procedure. thankyou
If you have worked on a cruise already there shouldn't be any issue.. Just approach the manning companies like fleet and anglo etc.. Don't go for agencies

We get supply in port and at once we take supply of around 2 weeks to one month depending on how much time it will take us to reach next port

First You have to do 6 months Gp rating course and join as steward.. Then u can apply for chief cook COC and accordingly promoted to chief cook
