You’ve watched Morikawa for months. You’ve known for a while that Morikawa’s weakness is a love of Grade 3s and that filters into his deck construction. You certainly took notice when he took first place at a non-team placement tournament with only one Gold Rutile in a balanced deck made by Shin. He’s a great player, with horrible deck construction mindset. Though I doubt he’d beat you in a head-to-head that easily.
Watching the fight between aichi and morikawa again made me notice something. Why did aichi nullify the first attack from DOTE? He's still at 3 damage and Dauntless' break ride can only be activated if the vg did not stand after the attack. So even if aichi let the first attack through, he'd only be at 4 damage and morikawa will then activate Dauntless' break ride effect to stand and that's when aichi should've nullified the attack so that DOTE couldn't stand up using it's persona blast
You're gonna see a lot of misplays this season. This season was one of the best, probably on par with the first season, but it is definitely the most inconsistent. I actually noticed the same misplay during this rewatch, and if my memory serves correct, I'm going to see a lot of inconsistent hand cards and missed drive checks.
