The new Periphery album is shaping up to be quite good. You should definitely check out their earlier released single "Wildfire" if you haven't already.
I can't wait to see more Periphery reactions from this channel. My recommendations are Ragnarok, Absolomb, and Reptile.

Long time fan here, would recommend checking their previous stuff as well. They are very diverse and consistently evolving their sound with every album.

You are right, the music video was takin in LA. Check Chris Liepe's reaction video, he did it with Spencer Sotelo (the vocalist of Periphery), who gave some interesting info about the music video.
What's really cool about this music video is that they shot footage and let the ai do its thing over it, which is highly appropriate considering the song's theme.
Periphery - Reptile and Satellites are great tracks that showcase there versatility.
Otherwise new album is out next month
Periphery is cool. Their new album, Djent Is Not A Genre will be out soon. People are recommending Wildfire, but I like the other new single Zagreus even more.
They are friends with Twelve Foot Ninja too. They were in one of TFN's music videos (not featured in the song) and were also referenced in the list of misspelled band names at the beginning of the One Hand Killing video
I've been waiting for you guys to get back to this band. You went from probably their most pure face melting, relentless track to their super unique, slightly poppy sound with a really crazy music video. Quite the changeup. The music video was motion capture, and then AI generated stuff basically layered over the top of it.
You might want to check out the other two singles from the album coming out in a few weeks. Wildfire and Zagreus are SLIGHTLY easier to digest the first time around. But you can also check out their older stuff, there's so much to enjoy. Reptile is a rite of passage, Stranger Things is a perfect song, and Absolomb was the song that turned me into a metalhead.
I will not be surprised if this song or the album will be nominated in next year’s Grammys

Glad you guys did this one, I just saw it last night and thought to my self..."I bet they would love this song and video". Periphery, at least for me in the past, was not really my cup of tea. But now that I've been down the rabbit hole with bands like BTBAM and Meshuggah, I'm really coming around. I don't know what to recomend cuz I've only heard a couple of their songs and to be honest l like taking the ride with you two. I'm here for it for sure.
The ending melody gave me huge BTBAM vibes with the note choices. I've listened to a fair share of Periphery songs, but never was completely hooked, but these new singles have me in awe.

I love how the chorus starts and sounds a little typical and you skeptically wanna pause around 1:28, but then it quickly changes around and by 1:40 has won you over.

Wildfire and Zagreus are overall heavier like Blood Eagle and are awesome tracks. One of my favorite bands and Spencer has such an awesome range. Think video is cool but I am sensitive and it makes me motion sick.

Another cool video is Earthside's "All we knew and ever Loved" if u dont mind instrumental music and a long song. Awesome visuals. Periphery is known for changing things up, including other genres, and making epic songs. Can't wait for u guys to do more from them.

I swear this song has half a dozen or more amazing vocal hooks. I feel like the chorus alone is just a chain of masterclass melodic hooks.

While they have progressed. ..in alot of ways this song is more reminiscent of what they sounded like a decade a ago. Alot of this song sounds like what they were doing on P2 or the
follow up to that, Juggernaut. I think this song would not have sounded out of place on P2 and that was releaed in 2012.
P4 was missing alot of the guitar theatrics Periphery became known for and the song ive heard from this album so far seem to be leaning more towards that old Periphery sound.
The main breakdown in this song sounds very similar to the one in Alpha.

I mostly agree but P4 is still full of the same insanely technical guitar style Periphery has always had, it's kind of the core to their sound thanks to Misha, Mark, and Jake. I mean, Reptile has thousands of riffs, Church Burner is chaos, Sentient Glow is originally an instrumental Mark and Misha made...
@darkphoenix2 to be fair...most everything is some shit Misha wrote as sample for some gear he was trying to sell lol.
Some band ws trying to claim he stole the riff for Wildfire and he was like "nah, i wrote that in like 2017 for GGD and heres the proof" lol
