Why aren't they a perfect direct fit? Nobody reproduces those covers at all and therefore I would not be wanting to drill holes into something that isn't reproduced. Just my 2 cents. The convertibles need special attention to detail on reproduced parts/trim components and can't just have people modifying the ORIGINAL stuff that's still with the car in order to have a newer part fit. I love my Fox Vert but damn it's tedious replacing all the sun faded trim and rubber weatherstripping and again especially when you gotta modify the part you just bought to put on the car.
@@_Livid_ Your missing the point, hes not taking about not being able to do modifications but the people that make these reproductions should make them faithfully like the old ones, i have been around these cars since the late 80s when no one called them "a Fox" and i couldn't agree more with him,its not like these parts fit 15 different cars so they are universal, they are made to fit one (1) car so make them identical to the old ones, end of story. All the weatherstrip for these cars made today is worthless, about the only one that works is the trunk one and thats a no brainer, just install and slam the trunk shut,the original weatherstrip was really soft,the repros are pure tough rubber so of course it doesn't work correctly and when you install them on the doors you have to adjust all kinds of stuff and slam the door or use a heat gun, shouldn't have to do any of that,i like getting full value for my money, some others dont.

It’s not even a big deal. If you can’t do simple modifications, you shouldn’t even own a Fox.
