I never played this game, but i can tell you episode wise the one with i think had 3 different colored ghosts looking like they were actually killing the people staying overnight to inherit a fortune scooby also being one invited for some reason scared the heck out of me as a lil kid i can still remember those ghosts laughing yikes haha
Are you serious!? That's how you outrun the knight? I used to rent this game quite a bit and I could never figure that out as a kid. I instead would have a mini-heart attack and start running away. LOL
So I never had an N64 but there was one available to play one summer at the boys and girls club (i think it was 2000, 2001). This was the game they had available to play and it freaked me and the other kids out. It was so much fun though because it was me and a bunch of other 8 year olds crowded around the tv screaming and laughing every time the knight appeared. We kept getting told to shut up. It is such a great memory. Its nice to know we weren't the only ones freaked out by this.
This game was supposed to have been a PS1 version, but unfortunately it was cancelled at the time, I bet this game would have been more successful on the PS1.
Man, this brings back memories. I'm surprised this many people know about it. For some reason, during my entire childhood I never knew anyone who played this game... Oh and yeah I totally agree, that fucking black knight scared the hell outta me when I was 10... and that tiki bitch on the third level lol.
I remember watching this like almost every day. I literally couldn't get a n64 so I just watched your gameplay. My 6 year old self used to be obsessed with watching this game.
I was stuck for hours in that Egyptian Wing, all I ended up doing was running round in circles. I evaded the Knight and ran up the pathway only to find it empty. He really freaked me out too! The spooky music and him clanky off screen so you knew he was close lol.
I remember playing this game alot when i was younger, one time it glitched when i was replaying some of my old N64 games (Donkey Kong 64 and Banjo Tooie). During the "That Snow Ghost" the Snow Ghost glitched and the model was a gray snowman with a tophat and had a black giant "H" on it's chest.
I like how the cartridge of this game is black, I remember renting it a long time ago. Too fucking bad that I was very bad at this game, this guy progressed more in the museum level than me. XD
I didn't know you could use that Egyptian mask to hide from the knight, I always tried to get past him to get the glasses and somehow get out (hard but not impossible to do)
I played this sickening demonic game as a kid. I'll never forget Shaggy's hideously deformed face, inhuman pencil-thin neck, and his wraithlike frame. The only part of the controller that has any effect on the game is the analog stick, which serves only to reveal that Shaggy has a mind of his own and will thwart your every attempt to progress through the dreadful torture chambers of this game. Shaggy prowls like a meth-addicted skeleton and trembles violently when anything gets near him. The very first gauntlet is nearly impossible to survive as Shaggy repeatedly stumbles into swarms of bats because he realizes that evading them will only prolong this nightmare. If you somehow survive the bats you are guaranteed to either be eaten by dinosaurs or hunted down by an armored corpse in the very next area.
This is game is the scariest shiet. i Just played it a few days ago on emulator and it freaked me out just as much as it did all those years ago. Im trying to buy this game again for n64!!
My very first N64 video game ever when I was 10 years old 😄 Really scared the sh*t out of me back then 😱 Never get to finish the game until 3 years later. Haha. Parents taking away the console.
To this day I still like and play the game, however, I also dislike the controls. The worst times are when you're running from the tiki and the ghost King. The tiki is bad because you have to run with constant changing camera angles, grab a mat, and then in the end go through the entire tunnel system without anyway to heal and unfortunately I still get mixed up in there. The ghost King is bad because in the maze to find Daphne if you're not extremely careful or very lucky you end up lost and can't find your way to her thus to this day I still use that invincibility cheat to avoid 500 failures on one or two chases.
The only thing I remembered from this game is the ladder in the window at 2:43 and the guard with the flash light... had to try to find a video of the game but it wasn't easy... :P
Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! Is the first incarnation of a long-running Media franchise primarily consisting of animated series, several films, and related merchandise. The series centers on a group of characters consisting of teenagers Fred Jones, Daphne Blake, Velma Dinkley, and Shaggy Rogers, and the titles character, a semi-anthropomorphic Great 👍🏼 Dane Dog 🐕 named Scooby-Doo. The group travels in the Mystery Machine, a blue and green van decorated with orange 🍊 flowers 🌸, solving mysteries involving local legends; in doing so, they discover the that perpetrator is almost invariably a disguised person who seeks to exploit the legend for personal gain. In 2005, USA 🇺🇸 Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! came 49th in Channel 4’s 100 💯 Greatest Cartoons, in the UK 🇬🇧, and was more recently voted 🗳 the 8th greatest Kids’ TV 📺 Show by viewers of the same channel. It was ranked the 24th greatest cartoon on IGN’s Top 100 💯 Animated Series.
If it wasn't for those awful controls I would say I loved the game. Just liked finding all the clues and trap pieces. Loved the music too, even though it did get repetitive after a while. And of course because it's scooby doo. As a kid I'd always turn on the infinite health cheat because I was too terrified to play otherwise. Beat the game after a few days. Because that Maze in the last episode was literal hell.
I hated this game.....not for the gameplay itself, because that was kinda fun but for the horrible horrible navigation. I think I spent more hours screaming at the screen 'NO...you were supposed to go left' than I enjoyed the game.
@KairiAngel13 i hated this game when i was five. it didn't scare me, but the cameras were annoying! i mean, when i'm pushing the control stick one way to run away from a monster, suddenly, the camera angle changes! and i somehow run into the monster!
@electriccompany7 I'm very jumpy and when that knight came out of nowhere, I was terrified lol I can play this game now and be just fine, but trying to play this when I was like ten, hell no lol
I'm interested in these games but picky. This one looks better than the gamecube/ps2/xbox ones. It's just not scooby doo unless you play as both shaggy and scooby together. Scooby alone just ruins the idea.
Uh, no, no they're not. As in, 'they were' not, as they are dissipated now (which still upsets me). THQ has never been owned or affiliated with any other video game publisher before.
That goddamn knight scared the shit out of me as a kid
OMG SAME I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE LMFAO
Same here and he was hard to escape from
same here
Holy shit I was like FUCK DAT and never played it since
Liz Borchardt haha same bro
A security dressed up in the knight armour to scare trespassers away
The part where the knight first comes out used to scare the shit outta me as a kid. Dont know why...
OMG same here. memories. I used to help and play with my big sisters when I was little.
Dim Nimrod yooo same
I never played this game, but i can tell you episode wise the one with i think had 3 different colored ghosts looking like they were actually killing the people staying overnight to inherit a fortune scooby also being one invited for some reason scared the heck out of me as a lil kid i can still remember those ghosts laughing yikes haha
Scooby and Shaggy meet the Boo Brothers!
Also me dude
You know what still baffles me all these years later? Why a Black Night would come out of the Egyptian wing and be in a Mummy casket?
It was done in order to fool players into thinking Velma was in the Casket.
I remember when I was 3 or 4 I was stuck on the fire extinguisher part for 2 hours and I was also scared shitless
lol the hall of president where you find a tape recorder in front of Richard Nixon

I am happy this was my childhood, even after 8-9 years after i watched this videos i still remember them.
I remember watching this like almost every day. I literally couldn't get a n64 so I just watched your gameplay. My 6 year old self used to be obsessed with watching this game.
when i was little i used pause the game everytime the monster chased me
I was stuck for hours in that Egyptian Wing, all I ended up doing was running round in circles. I evaded the Knight and ran up the pathway only to find it empty.
He really freaked me out too! The spooky music and him clanky off screen so you knew he was close lol.
Trev McMillan I use to be scared of that knight as a kid too lol

When I was younger I could never get pass the part where the night came out
I grew up playing this game
I remember playing this game alot when i was younger, one time it glitched when i was replaying some of my old N64 games (Donkey Kong 64 and Banjo Tooie). During the "That Snow Ghost" the Snow Ghost glitched and the model was a gray snowman with a tophat and had a black giant "H" on it's chest.
that hapens if you do the level skip cheat too often
I had no idea you could hide with that head dress the Egyptian one! I always used to think it was useless! I'm really wowed!
the nostalgia is real here lmfao. The last time I saw or played this game was when I was 6!
I like how the cartridge of this game is black, I remember renting it a long time ago. Too fucking bad that I was very bad at this game, this guy progressed more in the museum level than me. XD
I would give anything to replay this game again! IF I HAD AN N64 AND GAME CARTRIDGE!
Night Of 100 Frights TOTALLY a beats this!
Niht of 100 frightstrumps all scooby games, because it was te msot faithful to the sorce material
This was iconic I loved this game
I didn't know you could use that Egyptian mask to hide from the knight, I always tried to get past him to get the glasses and somehow get out (hard but not impossible to do)
this brings back so many memories of my childhood gotta grab a copy and play it again! Great video also!

Dude, nice HD textures.
Plus I take it you know the Tips and Tricks magazine that featured this game.
this was the only and best scooby doo i play as a kid
one of my childhood game glade
my favorite episode of Scooby Doo is the snow ghost
All i remember from this game was being scared as shit as a little boy when the knight walked (no ran) towards me
3:23 Hanna-Barbera characters are the pictures in the museum
ikr! like the part where you go get the paintbrush...you can't even see that there's a place to go get it lol
Anyone watching this series in 2024?
I beat this game for the first time in 2022.
There was a console version ?! I spent so many hours loving and hating this on my gameboy color !
I’ve beaten a lot of games but this was the only one ive never beat. The farthest level I’ve gotten here was the museum level lmfao.
I hated the guard 😒
Eric Bann he murders you
Eric Bann The guard created a loads of adrenaline and suspense for the player because if he spotted you, the it was game over.
Guards are to stop trespassers sneaking into closed buildings
6:20
I didn't know velma was a chipmunk..
I remember this game... I got nowhere in it
This game scared the HELL out of me when i was little! lol
This is game is the scariest shiet. i Just played it a few days ago on emulator and it freaked me out just as much as it did all those years ago. Im trying to buy this game again for n64!!
4:29 "Zoinks, I hope that's not Chris's blood..."
My very first N64 video game ever when I was 10 years old 😄 Really scared the sh*t out of me back then 😱 Never get to finish the game until 3 years later. Haha. Parents taking away the console.

I could sworn that there where times when I heard Johnny Bravos voice in this level.
I still have this game never beaten it tho!!
Kids take on Resident Evil
@KairiAngel13 i hated this game when i was five. it didn't scare me, but the cameras were annoying! i mean, when i'm pushing the control stick one way to run away from a monster, suddenly, the camera angle changes! and i somehow run into the monster!
