I actually enjoyed playing this even with the tough controls. I gotta say I got really creeped out when the Knight comes out of the crypt the first time I played it
I love how the gang goes to a snowy place, but are not dressed for the weather. Poor Shaggy is looking for firewood in just a t-shirt. Maybe limitations of the game at the time, but I wish they all were wearing coats, at least.
Ok I recently got into played the RE4 remake, looking back at this game I think I may be a little traumatized by that damn black knight, I still remember being scared of that specific monster and my dad had to play that part for me cause I'd hide
In episode 2, if you mean the coal, it's used for the hiding spot in the area past the snow plow where the Snow Ghost is running around. It's a group of snowmen. Follow the path counter clockwise and you'll find them, but it can only be used when the Snow Ghost is chasing you. For the coins on episode 3, they're used for a music machine in the tiki hut where the Witch Doctor chases you to. Once you enter, go left to the corner of the room and you'll see a machine with a crown. Go up to it, select a coin, press A, and the machine will play some music.
Such wasted potential...Scooby-Doo with classic Resident Evil gameplay that would been a perfect survival horror game for kids. But alas this game became a victim of being rushed product to the market instead.
James L. “Axel Foley” Anderson: There's already a Scooby-Doo game on Nintendo 64, Would that be the subtitle to the movie and book, too? My friends and I all debated what it would be. Would it be Scooby-Doo What a Night for a Knight, Scooby-Doo That's Snow Ghost", Scooby-Doo uh, "A Tiki Scare is No Fair", Scooby-Doo um, Here Comes the Witch’s Ghost!? Well, no. We were far off.
Honestly, I'm surprised there's no voice acting in this game aside from a few voice clips from Scooby and Shaggy. Were they not able to get the voice actors to read the dialogue or something?
For anyone looking still: By my memory, you have to get the cracker off a table and feed it to the parrot, then the parrot will give you letters which you then rotate the statues to because they're cardinal directions. You may have to flip the letters as I got SWN, but I had to input it as NWS.
Yall i played this game one time i was like 7 and i made my parents return it to switch it out for a different game bc the knight scared tf outta me and i started crying 😭 i had a thing of not liking knights ever since 💀💀💀

Same experience here, I was irrationally terrified of the knight as a kid
That’s one of my core memories bro
the knight always terrified me
this game scared me as a kid but i loved to play it
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one. I was a lil bih playing this as a kid.
Me too despite the fact this is a kid's game. That's why later Scooby-Doo games were less scary and more silly
If you look closely on the right at 8:35 you can see the Flintstones on the wall in a picture frame
Easter egg

Shaggy is just a cool dude 🥶
I remember sneaking out of bed to the Christmas tree carefully unwrapping this game and playing it all night ..
MEMORIES MY FRIEND MEMORIES
This is my favorite Scooby Doo game, I like him very much.
Late n64 release remember renting this once because of the preview for it at the end of zombie island and hype from cartoon network.
Loved this game as a kid. Wish I could play it again
You can easily on a pc or your phone with a N64 emulator and game rom.
Emulator
5am just started on my phone with the n64 emulator I downloaded off the appstore lol. It has hundreds of games for free. Not just for the n64 either

The good old days
This game has the camera angle like resident evil 2 and 3
It also has "utility-based progression" like those games as well.
I really hope the release the N64 version of this game on the Switch or Steam.
I loved this game as a kid! I wonder if it still holds up.
Playing it right now
Played to this game as I was young
You almost got caught by the museum security guard lol
Wasn’t this game left on a cliff hanger
no

A question, the carbon of the second episode and the coins of the third, what were they for?

Fred: Now let's see who the ghoul king really is?
Fred: Lower the chain and hook Velma.
Fred: Now it's staring to make sense. This is Rex Necros!
Daphne: Who?
Velma: Of course, The newspaper 📰🗞 that Shaggy found had an article on a Rex Necros. International criminal mastermind.
Daphne: I see. The paintings, the jewels 💎, the masks 👺👹 and all of those invoices! those must have all been part of Rex's crime web 🕸.
Shaggy: Like, all those creepy things were meant to scare us. And spookiness makes Scooby and I hungry.
Scooby: Rummy!
Fred: Looks like a pretty clever plan, Rex.
Rex: I would have gotten away with it too. If it weren't for you meddling kids!
Fred: Boy that sure was one mixed up mystery.
Velma: Rex Necros is going away for a long time.
Shaggy: Like, maybe now we can celebrate with a sandwich 🌯.
Scooby: Reah!
Daphne: Don't you guys ever get full?
Shaggy: Like only when there's no more food.
Scooby: Scooby-Dooby-Doo!

Me neither! I didn’t know what to do with the headdress, or that you have to have it equipped to use it.
